This porcelain plate was produced in England by Worcester around 1770. We have seen other pieces of Worcester in this pattern and although there is no marking, we believe it is Worcester. Lovely porcelain figure of a billy goat standing on a pad decorated with flowers and foliage. The pad has a slightly impressed decoration on the front and gilt lines at the edges. A gold anchor mark is painted on the back of the base.
Origin: England, 1756-69. Condition: mint, except a tiny flake on the bottom of the pad base. Size: 1-3/8" x 2-1/8" x 2-1/4" tall. The anchor mark is just under 1/4" tall.
A rare Worcester porcelain coffee can, tapering slightly toward the base and molded with corrugated ribs above a finely scalloped foot, the lobed rim with a slight flare, and the double scroll handle with a pointed thumbrest. Painted in the Chinese style with flowering plants, the border with half-flowerheads linked by a red line above leafy tendrils.

A Worcester mug with flared sides decorated in transfer printed underglaze blue of sprigs of natural flowers. Although it is unmarked the transfer on one side is identical to the one shown on the side of a Worcester marked jug shown in plate 282 of Godden’s Caughley and Worcester Porcelains 1775-1800. The transfers are well printed. 3 ¾ inches (9.5 cm) tall and a little more in diameter across the handle.

A large elaborate and beautiful patch mark Derby porcelain figure group of "Music" from the Muses series. Some sources refer to a very similar group as "Poetry". However, this particular group is somewhat different and is a rare variant.

A fine example of the rare Lowestoft porcelain "Mandarin Green Window" pattern made between 1768 and 1775.
The bowl and saucer are in very good condition, with the saucer having a small flaw, which appears to be in the making, at the edge at 11 o'clock. The bowl has no issues at all. Colors are much stronger than shown in the photos. The saucer is 5" in diameter, and the bowl is 1 3/4" in height.

An uncommon form (only one or two were part of a full service), made by Worcester in the Dr. Wall period. The design has a central rose surrounded by garlands of flowers in cartouches, all done in a soft European palette. Alternating with these cartouches are others that are pure white, making this decoration very unusual. The background of the dish is, of course, the desirable blue scale made so famous by Worcester.

A fine and early Worcester sweetmeat, the open shell curled over at one side, the undulating rim strongly shaded in green with a yellow inner border to the green. Painted in the Meissen style with a central flower spray surrounded by scattered smaller sprays.
Superb bright condition with no issues at all. The length is 4 3/4", the width 5 1/4", and the height 1 3/4".
NOTE: A similar dish, in a more common color, sparser painting, and with wear sold at the Bonham's sale in March, 2010.
A beautiful and very unusual bell shaped Chelsea cup featuring an angular scroll handle with flattened thumb rest and loose sprays of flowers and sprigs, the interior also with a flower spray. The bottom has the red anchor mark and the number 21.

A lovely and rare Chaffers Liverpool porcelain miniature tea bowl, hand painted with three sprigs of flowers, the interior with a pair of leaves, the rim painted with a puce color. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. The enameling is vibrant with no loss. Apparent losses in some spots are due to lighting in the photos, and are not present in person. The height is 1" and the top diameter is 1 5/8".

Offered is a lovely 18th Century Worcester Flight period teacup and saucer with swirl fluting and cobalt and gilt decoration, with a thistle motif. The decoration appears to be entirely hand painted. The small crescent mark in underglaze blue inside the foot of the cup dates that piece to about 1783-92 (the Flight period), and the incised “B” on the saucer would put that piece between 1792 and 1...

When Dr Wall discovered a formula for porcelain which would withstand boiling water, he had a huge hit on his hand. A wonderful Dr. Wall First Period antique English porcelain ovoid vase, painted in the Mandarin style with Chinese figures in interior scenes, within wide red and gilt borders. The pattern is called "The Telephone Box" when appearing on blue and white wares, where it is considerably more common. The style of painting, using elongated figures, originated in China and then was adapted for Dutch Delftware which then gave rise to the term "Long Eliza." The form originated in the 1750s.

A Samuel Gilbody of Liverpool porcelain small mug or coffee can with a flattened round loop handle and a flat unglazed base. The interior of the rim has a diaper border with prunus blossoms.
