A Magnificent 15 Piece Dessert or Ice Cream Set in the Mazarin pattern by Dominick & Haff for Theodore B. Starr. The set consists of 12 Spoons (5.75"), an Ice Cream Knife (12.5"), a Berry Spoon (9"), and a Sugar Sifter (7"). All pieces are gold washed at the service end. Patented 1878 and marked with a C placing it between 1902-1907, this Tiffany & Co. server is made in the intricate "Olympian" pattern. The scene on the handle is "Venus Born of the Sea." Offered is this rare cranberry-glass pillow vase, hand-decorated with a marsh scenery, made by Moser around 1900. The vase is 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) long, 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) high and 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide. In good condition (expected, age-appropriate wear to gold and a small rim flea-bite - see last picture). Unsigned, but guaranteed to have been made by Moser - the scalloped feet are a hallmark of Moser pillow vases (for reference: see Baldwin's book on the Klabin Moser glass collection).

This interesting little ceramic figure is purportedly from the Majapahit period (1293-1500)of Eastern Java. Possibly a religious figure, it is barefoot and has tribal head-dress and flowing robes. There does appear to be a light colored glaze underneath the surface dirt which I have not attempted to remove or clean. The statue is just under 20 cm in height and weighs 444 grams.
