A superb quality 4-3/8" across Sorrento ware wood inlay trinket or jewellery box from the mid to late 19th century. This box stands 1-3/4" high and it has wonderful colour and workmanship. The sides feature red banding and a Greek key design in green, yellow and black with a brown ground...

Outstanding American late Classical mirror framed in solid well-figured mahogany with a gilt applied composition border of bellflowers. The gilding has a particularly rich patina. The glass is old and 1/4" thick, but probably not original, and has dulled to a very nice patina. The plate is backed with a wood panel that is covered with paper. The nails holding the plate in place have been replaced.

Origin: America, probably mid-Atlantic region, ca. 1840...

Incredibly beautiful original  Vernis Martin French cabinet from the late 1800s. A fantastic Japanese Edo Period 19th Century Charger in cloisonné and enamel, a work that was originally done in the 18th century. This piece measuring 12” in diameter

19th Century French bronze hinged box with engraved sides. The lid featured a rooster made of very fine feathers under glass. Original lining. In excellent condition, this little treasure measures approximately 4 1/4" long, 1" deep and 3" at widest point.

C. 1880 Hand carved Wood Box Engraved mother of pearl box measures just over 2 inches square. The top slides cleanly off the base to uncover beautiul mother of pearl "puzzle pieces", probably intended as a game whereby one must get the pieces back in the same order. A lovely Victorian box for the discerning box collector.

A fancy ornate brass oval frame having trefoil cartouches with leaves and edged with beading encircle the mirror held up by easel stand whose stretcher is detached from the frame. This attractive tea caddy stands 4-1/4" high and the hinged lid lifts to reveal the twin compartments, whose lids have hand carved and decorated mother-of-pearl grips.
