According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, “The "Venetian" pattern was one of the more elaborate designs for ornamental desk sets. It is described in a 1920 trade catalogue as decorated with fields of richly chased ornament relieved by a deeply carved band of ermines at the base of each piece."

This fine small yellow enamel box is beautifully painted with a floral medallion on a white ground, interior with orange and blue floral sprays, base is signed with a crossed pair of blue crossed pointless arrows. #699 Antique Scottish Penwork Tea Chest in Maple with all over decoration of leaves and acorns and a central paterae on the stepped lid of a mother with two children. Inside are two removable lidded tea caddies with penwork leaf and grape decoration and the underside of the lid has a faux coral design.

Antique Pear Form Tea Caddy in fruitwood, turned in the form of a pear with iron escutcheon and stem.  Often made in suite with an apple form tea caddy for your green and black teas. You want to see a curved lockplate as many fruit form string holders are being passed off as tea caddies.  Probably German, Late 18th Century. 6.5” tall with stem

Two small different shaped photo frames. Made of steel with gold damascene. The larger in the Moorish style with arabesques in the shape of a mihrab, the small one in oval form, backsides gilt. Condition: few traces of usage, the oval one without glass. Dimension: c. 13.8 x 7.8 cm and 8.4 x 6.4 cm.

A tortoise shell and sterling silver inlay cigarette box, the interior cedar wood. The underline of the text with makers mark for Saunders & Shepherd (the firm founded in 1869 and still working), town mark for their Chester branch and L for 1894.
