Small and pretty desk seal, gilded silver and banded agate, with two minuscule French hallmarks, probably a boar´s head (in use from 1838 on small items). From around 1850-60 = 2nd Empire. The seal stone, not engraved, is yellow in tone, probably a citrine or a topaze. Height "2/ 5.4 cm. Condition: the agate handle with repair (cf. pics).

This absolutely wonderful pair of Victorian opera glasses are marked Lemaire Fabt, Paris. They were made in Paris, and date back to about 1880-90. They measure 4” wide and 3” tall when fully extended and were part of the extravagant Paris opera scene during the Victorian period. What a joy to be able to take them to the opera today. This is a wonderful clock made of bronze and rouge marble depicting a lion pulling a cherub in a chariot over the tomb of Napoleon. It measures 17" long x 17" tall x 6" deep. The only marks I could find on it, which are shown in the photos, are numbers and an award that it won in France. It works beautifully and is in excellent condition.
