This set of four Guang Xu Period (1875~1908) Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) dishes are ¾ inch tall and 6 ½ inches in diameter. Hundreds of different kinds of flowers cover them all. This is a very fine and beautiful small famille rose tea pot. The design is that of a beautiful water scene of a very lively, detailed and bright orange-red goldfish swimming among green seaweeds. There are three goldfish on the cover and five on each side of the tea pot. The base has the seal mark of Tongzhi and is of that period.
