This is a northern Song dynasty green glazed bowl. It stands on a foot rim with a recess base exposing the light buff colour stoneware and then extending upwards with a C-shaped rounded body with a rounded rim like a lip. On the cavetto, it is incised with four bud of swirling flowers with lightly combed designed in between and the centre of the bowl.

This is a large ceramic pillow in the form of a cat, done in cream and brown colors, in old Cizhou Kiln style. The ceramic cat pillow measures about 13" long x 7" tall, and dates to the turn of the 20th Century. There is a Chinese "Cultural Properties" wax stamp on the cat's back. Very rare small celadon Yueyao lugged jar from a Zhejiang Kiln, circa Five Dynasties/Early Northern Song. This type of ceramic was a precursor to Longquan ware. There is a firing crack and some fritting (caused by pockets of air trapped beneath the glaze during firing) on one side- noted in enlargements. D: 9cm/3.5in and H: 6cm/24in.

This is a Tang dynasty funerary sancai or tri-colour tea cup set. It has a tray with seven cups on it. All the items stand on a flat base. The tri-colour is green, beige and amber, both in long streak partially outside and inside of the tray and tea cup.

There is no repair or restoration, some abrasion and bubble burst. Some expected degradation, chips & minor losses as a consequence of long period of burial and subsequent cleaning...

Good Cizhou type high fired, well balanced, ovoid soy glazed with russet highlights jar from a northern kiln, circa- Five Dynasties to Northern Song. There is a possible chip on the outer mouthrim (see enlargement)- difficult to tell if this happened after firing or before. There are remnants of kiln supports on the concave foot. This is a Yuan Dynasty(1277-1367) celadon covered box. The top cover has a double circle with radiating club shaped like a sun ray all round. Just below it, is the design of foliage circling the all round. The flower part of the covered box also has foliage design design followed by a club shaped motif. The colour of the top half is lighter than the lower half of the covered box.

The covered box has minor abrasion and minute pinholes. No chip, crack, repair or restoration...

Song Dynasty Green Glaze jarlet with two ears...in very good condition without cracks or chips, some wear in terms of scratches...small points of imperfection in glaze at time of firing. Floral pattern around top portion of jarlet and scrolling pattern around lower portion at the base. Diameter: 2 and half inches, height 2 inches.

Song Dynasty green crackled Celadon bowl with a nice shape. There are certain imperfections which mostly appear to be occurrences at time of firing. On the inside of bowl, there is a pock mark / rupture that appears to have occurred at some point when perhaps a stone in the clay was compromised and broken out through the glaze. A Jun-type stoneware vase of archaic bronze Hu form with an octagonal body, covered overall with dark-green glazed. Condition is excellent. Late Ming to early Qing period 17th-18th century. Height: 12.2cm.

The urn is made of very hard porcelain stoneware, the body and lid were turned. 5 cases were glued to the slip on the shoulder, as they are deeply hollow, without however crossing their support, I think that they must have served as a receptacle for incense sticks, a decoration of petals and stylized flowers is vigorously incised before firing, then covered with a cracked celadon glaze. A Chinese, bulb-mouthed, brown glazed vase from the Tang dynasty. The coarse stoneware body of this small vase was initially covered by a white slip, which terminated some way above its flat foot. This is a Northern Song dynsty qingpai hexafoil bowl from the well known hetian yao or hetian kiln. It has a very artistically free hand incised flower on the cavetto and center of the bowl. It has a beautiful sky blue colour.

This is a large size Liao dynasty (907–1125 A.D.)moulded polychrome earthenware dish with leaded glaze. It rests on a short foot rim, a slightly flat everted base before rising upwards. It has a simple floral motive. On the underside, the glaze is in dark brown in colour, all the way down just before the short foot rim exposing the earthenware.

Good black glazed with large swathes of russet jug circa Ming Dynasty bottle with two lugs. There are a few chips on the lower edge of mouth. This kind of ware was the “coke bottle” of their day, common place household/kitchen items, almost every home would have a few. No reason (after a good cleaning and sanitation) you couldn’t reuse for your favorite poteen, bai jiu or single malt. H: 21cm/8.2in and D: 14.5cm/5.8in.
