This is a porcelain snuff bottle in cylindrical form with a narrow neck, decorated in underglaze-blue against white. The scene depicts mountains and a flowing river with a fisherman sitting quietly angling on the bank. The stopper is natural tiger eye with a bone or ivory spoon. There are no chips, cracks or restoration.

DESCRIPTION: A large antique porcelain plate, well decorated with a mythical Kylin gazing upward at a large bird perched in a pine tree. The decoration is in underglazed blue with a clear glaze containing a faint blue tint. The base is unglazed and unmarked showing the finely grained paste.
