Here is a very rare early Edo period Ni-mai-do Gusoku prominently displaying a Christian cross like symbol on the front and back of the chest plate in gold. It has a simple kabuto of 6 vertically joined iron plates falling from a circular peak, with a three lame Shikoro. Displayed on front is a wooden crescent moon maedate covered in textured gold (likely a later reproduction). The mask is an unusual Hanpo with a very small mouth in the Momoyama style...

This pair of enamelware cannisters have a very unusual octagon shape. From France circa 1920's, they are a wonderful robin's egg blue color with a white checker pattern around the tops. Not without faults, there are several minor dings & a previous owner painted on one of the lids (please see photos), but nothing at all to detract from the charm of this unique pair of cannisters. Measure approx. 7" high to tops of lids, 5" diameters.

This is a Northern Song - Jin dynasty cizhou sancai dish with incised lotus design, with green and brown colour enamel. It stands on a short foot rim and then everted into a u-shaped body. The centre of the dish is incised with a single lotus flower with a large open leaf below it. The lotus is painted with a shade of brown colour on the inner side and the outer side a dark cream colour. The lotus leaf is painted in green colour with brown shading on the inner side...

A very charming wise old OWL! This vase stands 12 inches tall and is 7 inches wide/diameter. The body of the owl is comprised of rough unglazed "feathers" and has glazed shiny highlights. The sides and based are glazed. This exanple is unmarked, but I have had marked versions, all with the Royal Haegar ink stamp. No cracks, chips or repairs, Circa 1960

Silver bowl and plate with intricate designs over the surfaces, the bowl with Islamic script. The plate measures 6 3/4" in diameter, and the bowl is 4 7/8" in diameter and 1 7/8" deep. Both pieces have traditional islamic and Persian designs, with cross designs, arabesque forms, and elaborate borders. Very precise and intricate silver work, the work of an accomplished silversmith. Created in Frank Patania's Thunderbird shop, this box is a beautiful example of handmade Zuni art. Measuring 4 1/4" X 3 1/4" X 3/4" the piece weighs 166 grams. Carved onyx, turquoise and mother of pearl are inlaid in a silver frame to form the dragonfly. The bold hinge design is often seen on Frank Patania boxes. They work smoothly. The box is in beautiful condition. Hallmarked STERLING with Thunderbird.

Large Murano Elephant performing on a Ball, attributed to Nason. Executed in clear glass. The elephant has a wonderfully expressive face as he stands on his hind legs with his trunk out-stretched. The ball has two rows of bubble inclusions (13 bubbles in all). The figure stands 17 inches (43 cm) Tall and is 4 1/4 inches (11 cm)across and 8 inches (20 cm) deep. There are no cracks, chips or repairs...

A fine 18th century Chinese molded celadon-glazed porcelain dish, finely decorated chrysantemum flower with foliated rim, covered overall in green glazed. DATE : Qianlong (1736 - 1795). SIZE : D = 28 cm CONDITION : very good condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations.

A cache of 9 very fine old silver coins from the Mon period from which is now Burma. One side has the symbol of the Sun , the other the symbol of a (Srivatsa) Temple. Weight: Total, 87 grams. Average size: Diameter, 2cm.Condition: Very fine.

A beautiful pair of long dangling sterling and amethyst earrings with their original box by Mexican silversmith Emma Melendez. These are screwback earrings with a lovely scrolling design top and hanging teardrop shaped amethyst. They measure 2" long with the top part being 1/2" wide. They are in fine original condition and signed Sterling Made in Mexico 806A. They come with their original box which says PLATERIA EMMA. Gorgeous on and a great box.

The others cost 2X more, yet this one is Signed & Marked MIMI DEE Sterling. Granulation Sterling Beads on Sturdy Sterling Silver ending with a Hand Wrought Hook and 2 Large (1 1/2") Hammered S Shape Charms.

A donkey doll motif. Pre assay 1930's or 40's hand chased repousse donkey burro tested silver pin with MEXICO mark and the cutest round face big headed punk haired donkey doll! So it has an overbite and no chin, it is so kee-oot!. Must have.
The native peoples are known to make dolls in the shape of their local animals for their children to play.
