Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, here is an English brooch featuring a large peridot (1 cm x 6 mm or 3/8” x 2/8”), and, on either side, seed pearl-set gold shamrocks. 1920-s 18Kt white gold filigree three stone ring is centered by an approximately 0.15Ct old-mine diamond. The center stone is flanked on either side by a 4 millimeter square natural sapphire. The top of the ring is covered by the stones, while the sides are masterfully decorated by openwork filigree. The ring is a size 6 ½ and can easily be sized.

American designer Patrice uses semi-precious stones in her jewelry. In this case olive jade and charoite with brass and vermilion for the pendant and earrings. William Spratling first phase hallmarks as shown are on these magnificent tulip earrings. They are substantial in size at 1.5in. long and .75in. wide at widest point. The weight is 21 grams. They drop beautifully and the screw backs hits in the center of the tulip making it well balanced for a great fit. The swirl curves with the ear for a fabulous presence. No dents or chips. Only striations inside the stones as one would expect to see. Collector quality.

Balderas is the maker of this vintage jewel and few pieces turn up with this Spratling era hallmark. This lovely and unusual Georgian pin is most likely a mourning piece. Made from 18k yellow gold, with rose gold and platinum accents, the center panel has two hearts (one of gold, one of platinum) under beveled crystal.
