A stunning work by Shigaraki Legend Tsujimura Shiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box inside the lid of which is scrawled a nude figure and the epitaph NY 5/24/06. Large and powerful Shiro-Hagi chawan by veteran Hagi potter; Mashita Tadashi. This chawan though appearing pure white, has a nice blush of pink through out portions of the bowl. The lip is slightly lobed and created an elegant appearance. The chawan measures 5.2" x 3.5". This Shiro-Hagi resembles the works of Miwa Kyuwa and Miwa Kyusetsu for a fraction of the price.

Large haikaburi style mizusashi with areas of running green and blue-green ash running down the pot. This piece was made by veteran tea potter; Suzuki Hideo.

Robust, medieval styled mizusashi by veteran Shigaraki potter; Furutani Churoku IV (b. 1922). This face of this large mizusashi is covered in a wonderful layer of green ash and the back exhibits very fine hi-iro fire color. The base shows three areas where the pot was wadded during the firing and it is prominently signed; CHUROKU.

The glaze on this sculpted form by The Bear of Echizen Kumano Kuroemon (also Kurouemon) is covered in the most fantastic crustations of glaze. Thick white over scarred red over shatterd black on an unconventional shape the artist has titled marukawara (round tile). It has Tomo everything, Artists history, wrapping cloth, with his ubiquitous calligraphy all over the signed box. The piece is 29 x 17 x 8 cm (11-1/2 x 6-1/2 x 3 inches) and is in perfect condition.

Enigmatic lines score the martian landscape of this large slab platter by innovative Japanese artist Teramoto Mamoru enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The slab measures 53.5 x 16.5 x 5 cm (21 x 6-1/2 x 2 inches) and is in perfect condition. The box itself is a testament toteh value placed on it by the artist, double the thickness of a usual box and of a fine grade of kiri. An unusual vase with rough, pebble textured pink glaze over scratched in cranes by one of Japans most important post-war artists, Shinkai Kanzan, enclosed in the original signed wooden box.
