A superb large sake cup by Kuwata Takuro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Dark and murky ash gray covered in soft dripping silver glaze. It has Tomo everything, Artists history, wrapping cloth, with his fingerprint all over the signed box circa 2018.

A deep pool of rice wine awaits the drinker in this stately form by Miwa Kazuhiko enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Cup of Deep Abundance (Fuchifuchi-hai). The name comes from the deep part of a river (fuchi) where fish tend to gather. Outside this white glaze crawls and plays over the slightly blue tinged glaze beneath it, which covers the rough Hagi clay.

Enigmatic natural forms seem fossilized on the white surface of this rare guinomi by female pottery star Hattori Makiko enclosed in a black lidded wooden box signed and dated inside Heisei 27 (2015) and titled simply Shuki. It is 7.5 cm (3 inches) diameter and in excellent condition. This was from way back when we could acquire works by her. Those days are long gone, and this is the last of its kind.

Only a master of aesthetics and a hermit could put his tea bowl together, here an amazing work by Harada Shuroku enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Bizen Chawan. Superb organic form displaying dark and awe inspiring, it shows to dramatic effect the path of flame in the kiln through the streaks of crusted ash and hi-iro on the sides interspersed with Shiso-iro gray-purple clay, and it might take eight hands to hold this masterpiece...

An organic form covered in thick emerald glaze Higashida Shigemasa and enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Oribe Jikiro.  The eclectic shape is rendered roma block of clay, hollowed and torn, like the ragged crags of Gifu, home of this pottery tradition.  Natural textures to bring out the depths of the oribe green, and electric shimmers of blue rush over the edges evoking the sense of water on the move.

A superb belted form covered in crawling blue by Living National Treasure Shimaoka Tatsuzo enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Haiyu Jomon Zogan Wan.  This piece has a great deal of presence, as if 50 years of pottery tradition have been boiled down and condensed into this one lump of clay.  It is thick and heavy, with a stout character standing firm and proud on a stable ring.  Inside an eye of green stares upwards, as if the tea has always just been drunk.  And like many thin...
