Serene yuteki temmoku conical chawan made in the Chinese taste, though Japanese. The chocolaty oil spots float on the darker iron glaze as if suspended, or frozen in motion. Classic and robust Iga Mizusashi made by Tsujimura Shiro who needs no introduction. Powerfully thrown out of a whitish stoneware clay and fired in an anagama, this mizusashi is covered in ash with a small area of blushing on the read and rivulets of ash cascading down the face.
