Despite numerous efforts I have been unable to decipher the signature though I suspect it to be by a listed or recognized artist. The drawing shows it was created by a talented hand, and the rich colors make for a most attractive landscape work...

Executed on heavy watercolor paper, this is a beautiful work by a trained hand, 18" by 26 1/2", unframed, and unsigned. At lower left is written "Valley Ten P/1912", and to the right of and below that "After a fire". On the reverse in pencil is "Valley of Ten Peaks" and "MORAINE LAKE". The painting has foxing in the sky and the reverse is also foxed, but the colors are not faded...

A finely painted oil on canvas painting illegibly signed and dated 1993, the subject classic goose and duck decoys at left, a shotgun at top, the other props including a green book, pen, feathers, and two red shotgun shells, measuring 18" by 24" (25 1/2" by 31 1/2" framed in interesting black with gold frame, as found). This is a really poetic work by FRANCIS LE COADIC (1912-), listed French artist, showing a country church and houses, a few figures, and a distinctively French telephone pole at the right side of the composition. The work, like a lot of Le Coadic's work, reminds one of Maurice Utrillo. Indeed, Le Coadic did paint a lot of works showing Montmartre in the snow, and other street scenes around Paris...

Oil on canvas painting of a forest, 18" by 18", in its original oak frame 22" by 22", signed at lower right in red "MOORE" and dated there 1927 or 1924. The painting is a beautiful example of American impressionism of the early 20th century, with some really lovely colors hiding under the grime of nearly 90 years. The artist was obviously a talent to be reckoned with, though with the common last name it is difficult to attribute this to any particular Moore. Found in Los Angeles, I would try ...
