Circa 1885, original oil painting on a board panel of a stag in snow scene by artist A. Huff. Painting is in excellent antique condition with the colors still being vibrant.

A colorful and decorative Haitian painting, the subject two women in white clothing at a market, with their baskets and fruits and lengths of cut sugar cane. The work is oil on thin unstretched canvas, in a simple black frame with black mat, and no glass. The piece measures 17 1/4" BY 21 1/4" as framed. The artist signed at lower right "Lauren C.".

A 24" by 36" oil on Masonite painting (30" by 41 1/2" as framed), titled on reverse "The Essence of Autumn", July 2002, signed there and again at lower right by listed California contemporary artist ROBERT ALLISON RICHERT (born 1947). The artist in the early 1970's received his Bachelor's Degree in Art at California State University, Long Beach. He describes being attuned to the outdoors while still a child, exploring the natural world...

A very interesting mixed media work, on a heavy, soft paper, with I believe pastel, perhaps oil pastel, and maybe even some oil, apparently sadly UNSIGNED, measuring 28 1/2" by 18". The number "5" appears at lower corners. On the backing is written "John Atkins was the first guy I (talked?) to" and "JAY Torrance/Garage (??) Period (??). I do not know what to make of that, if anything, but the names John Atkins and Jay Torrance do not connect with any recognized artist...

Armenian watercolor painting of the famous, sacred snow-covered mountain, Ararat, signed in Armenian at lower right. The work measures 11 1/4" by 16" (14" by 18 3/4" in gold frame). The work likely dates from about 1970 through 1980 or so. It is framed behind non-glare glass, which tends to blur detail. Condition is excellent. Armenian-speakers, please contact me if you are able to make out the name.

Lester Stevens was a landscape painter and teacher from the Boston school of painting. He was born in Rockport, MA in 1888 and he died in Greenfield, MA in 1969. He studied with Parker S. Perkins in Rockport; Tarbell and Benson at Boston's Museum School; and in Europe after World War I. The painting is signed at lower right center with the notoriously difficult to decipher signature of the artist HENRI d'ANTY (1910-1998). The age would appear to be circa late 1950's or early 1960's. D'Anty was born in France and painted scenes in Brittany, northern France, and along the banks of the Marne River...
