A 24 x 31” engraving lithograph done in the style of Charles Dana Gibson, a beautiful piece that is framed and matted professionally

Daniel Tretiak wrote about prints that were new to him (in 2017) that included, in my (LDT)view, one of the strangest, hard-to-decipher prints that the artist ever did, Bai-1. It was an early one, created in 1958.

Print of an Austrian mountain village under a towering mountain range in winter, printed in grays, black and white with some subtle color, on silk, 10 3/4" by 13 1/4" inside the mat, 21 1/2" by 23" in silvery gray frame, pencil signed at lower right margin by the noted Austrian artist HANS FIGURA (1898-1978). Figura is known for his aquatints on paper and silk, featuring scenes of the Tyrolean Alps, Venice, other European locales, and even New York and elsewhere in the United States...

Joseph Pennell, American, 1857-1926, "Trinity Church, From the River". This Joseph Pennell etching measures 11 3/4 x 8 3/8 inches, pencil signed, 1904, cat: Wuerth 324, probably in an edition of 25. Pennell was an important American etcher, lithographer and illustrator. Good friends with James McNeill Whistler, he and his wife co-authored his biography. Pennell was known for his continued experimentation with technique and style, producing cityscapes, landscapes and marine scenes...

TWO antique original (not reproduction) lithograph prints with delicate, subtle hand coloring,by noted English artist and nineteenth century Middle Eastern traveler DAVID ROBERTS (1796-1864). The prints both measures 8 3/4" by 12 1/2" (14 1/2" by 18 1/2" as framed). Roberts is best known for his lithographed images of sites in the classical Middle East, of which these are typical examples. I've not examined these out of the frames but they do appear to be in excellent, clean condition...

ONE OF A NUMBER BY THE ARTIST IN MY SHOP**This is a small etching (the sheet 4 7/8" by 6 1/2" inside the reddish mat, 9 1/2" by 11" framed), pencil signed at lower right by the noted California artist HARRIET GENE ROUDEBUSH (1908-1998), and titled at lower left margin "Cypress Trees at the Beach". The scene is dominated by an old, impressive coast cypress tree with lots of character, its sheltering branches framing more distant offshore rock and a church with twin steeples...

An original etching made on a zinc plate, 5 3/4" by 6 1/2" inside the present mat (14 1/4" by 18 1/2" in simple black frame), signed in pencil at lower right margin by important 19th century Italian artist GIOVANNI FATTORI (1825-1908). The title of the print is "Strada dei dintorni Fiorentini". Affixed to the backing is a charming old,early 20th century note handwritten in English...

Herman Armour Webster, 1878-1970, American, "Capodimonte, Italy," etching, image size 5 1/2 x 10 inches, 1927, pencil signed.

Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Kyoto #7: Kozan-ji” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated '96, and numbered 141/150 in the lower margin. The title in kanji is at the bottom left margin. Paper: 11 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image: 6 3/8" x 8"). Very good overall condition with a possible faintly visible smudge in the upper left margin corner. There are a few distressed fibers on the back, but the print does not appear to have been previously framed.

Woodblock print "Face" 1978 signed Tomio Kinoshita, printing 1/50, three oval heads over cylindrical necks with faint rounded shoulders, each inscribed with interior lines over a quite orange/gray, exterior surrounded by a dark somber color.
Tomio Kinoshita has a distinct contemporary stye of abstract heads done in line images of angular, square, and oval shapes. He was born 1923in the Mie Prefecture, Japan...

Jacques James Joseph Tissot 1836-1902 French This is a fine original etching by French artist James Tissot. The title is: Reverie, it was created and printed in 1880 in an edition of 100. The image measures 9X 4 7/16 inches. The image is plate signed and dated upper right corner of the image, printed on a medium weight laid type paper. A very rich impression, nicely framed. This image appears in the Wentworth catalog as image number 52.

A harness horse racing print, with fine hand coloring, after the painting by noted English artist WILLIAM J. SHAYER (1811-1892), engraved by James R. Markell (1814-1866), featuring a great horse in his day, Lord William. The horse is described in the title area as the property of Samuel Lawrence Esq...

Stow Wengenroth 1906-1978 American This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Stow Wengenroth. The title is Spirit of New England, a scene from Kennebunk, Maine done in November of 1956. This image measures 9 1/8X17 13/16 inches. Printed in an edition of only 45 impressions. This image appears in the Stuckey catalog as image number 234. This interior was made from the Congregational Church , Kennebunk, Maine.

This is a lithograph, apparently signed in the plate only, by the noted American artist RAPHAEL SOYER (1899-1987). Soyer, one of several brothers who became significant figures in American art during the WPA and mid century period, became known for his sensitive studies of human figures in urban settings and interiors. Paintings sell at major auctions, and prints, some hand signed and some not, are regularly encountered. This one is in clean condition and is ready for the wall.

Scarce lithograph print of 1922, "Eislauf" (Ice Skating), pencil signed at lower right by the enormously important German Expressionist, MAX BECKMANN (1884-1949), the sheet measuring 23 1/2" by 15 1/2". The image shows a delightful variety of people of all ages enjoying the open air pleasures of skating. This print was published by Reinhard Piper in Munich in a total edition of 230 examples.
