Unusual netsuke size okimono of a beetle, a moth and a water drop on a chrysanthemum leaf. Wonderful subject and extraordinary delicate execution - see finely captured anatomy of the insects and veining of the leaf. The leaf is fossilized mammoth ivory, insects are carved out of differently colored buffalo horn, water drop is crystal or acrylic. Chinese large jumu (elm) wood cabinet with natural light finish. The interior is outfitted with shelves for a TV and components. Doors on wooden dowels pocket in for a nice clean appearance. Sliding panels in the back interior allow for cords. Four interior drawers are perfect for storing CDs and DVDs. There are another two drawers on the lower exterior.

From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a superbly carved sandalwood buddha from the city of Jasailmer in the Rajasthan region of India. This buddha sits in padmasana (interlocking lotus position) upon a double lotus base while displaying vitarka mudra with the right hand, and holding what is probably a kalasa pot in the left hand.

These 18K gold Heart-by-Heart earrings are clip-on earrings with a lacy all-over pattern of carved out hearts. The earrings are hollow. Together they weigh 10.32g. The diameter of each is 15mm. On the hinge is the number 750 and below it GJ. On the heart-shaped cushion that sits against the ear lobe, there are printed 1481 and ASCH. They were designed by Allan Scharff for Georg Jensen. They are in like-new condition though I bought them in 1999.
