This antique cast iron horse drawn fire truck consists of a horse drawing a water pumper driven by a fireman molded into his seat. The toy c. 1900 - 10 and attributed to Shimer, Son & Company, a small Pennsylvania toy firm which was active from the 1890s to perhaps as late as 1920. The underside is embossed with 1075, presumably a model number. This model is nickel plated. The condition is good, having around 20-25% paint loss, wobbly wheels, two of which are missing hub caps...

A monumental serving platter in the Cenis pattern by Ridgways. The motif features branches with pineapples, emphasizing hospitality. The condition is very good, yet expect a scratch or two, and some discoloration - but far less than commensurate with age. The platter wobbles, a not uncommon affliction of these older ceramic pieces as they were difficult to make in this size. A ceramic oval covered vegetable dish decorated in vivid painted red, black, and green flowers interconnected with transferred branches and stems in full coverage of lid and bowl. The handles are lined with green and have red dots on the main surfaces. The condition is good although the foot has two shallow gouges; the interior has modest staining and other signs of wear; and the handles show loss of finish...

There will not be another of these... turn the handle (a little stiff) and the Boys will do a jig. The old Box lid is marked "Members of the Lime Kiln Club" and "Old Kentucky Home". The Lime-Kiln Club was a fictitious fraternal organization of African-Americans created by a Journalist/Writer in the late 1800's Open the lid and there are 6 fantastic characters....

Full sheet of unusually large vintage German diecut Santas carrying toys. Two of the Santas wear the harder to find blue robe. The colors are gorgeous and this sheet would look terrific framed. Each Santa Claus measures 9-1/4" tall--an unusually large size.
