An interesting selection of barbed wire of the Early West dating from 1872 to 1884, the board titled at top "THE WIRE THAT FENCED THE WEST"; samples are identified in handwriting by type. Some of the early barbed wire is quite scarce and rare; collectors know what is and what is not. All in all, excellent memorabilia for the aficionado of the Early West. The piece measures 12" by 12".

From northern Canada's Inuit native people, comes this 4" by 2 1/4" by 1 1/2" light greenish soapstone carving of what appears to be a tuskless walrus, weighing 7 ounces. There is the official original label in black and white on the bottom, with "Canada Eskimo Art" and an image of a stylized igloo. These carvings are often signed in syllabics or in English lettering but I do not see any such signature on this piece. There are no chips, nor cracks...

In 1986, Fenton issued this Teal and Milk Overlay top hat basket. As part of the limited issue Connoisseur Collection, it is number 222 of 1500 made. Stands about 7" tall and does have some wear concerning the gold leaves, otherwise in excellent condition. Handpainted by Linda Everson.

Rare black schist Hindu Temple carving of Bhairava riding his dog, I have handled hundreds of these temple statues and this is the only one of these I ever found especially in black stone . A wonderful and extremely rare enameled glass beaker bearing the portrait of Czarina Alexandra Feodorovna on the occasion of her visit to Paris in 1896. Alexandra accompanied her husband, Czar Nicholas II to dedicate the Pont Alexandre III across the Seine. Alexandra is wearing the traditional kokoshnik, a veil, long strands of pearls and a white gown. The portrait is surrounded by gilt lettering, "Souvenir Octobre 1896/Impératrice Alexandra Féodorovna"...

A contemporary Australian aboriginal art "dot" painting of two snakes, 8" by 16" (13 3/4" by 21 1/2" in black laminate frame), signed on the reverse "Phillip Jakakamar/Alice Springs/Aust/Aug '91". Tibetan Himalayan Buddhist Copper and Brass Prayer Wheel, with Bamboo handle supported by round Shell Disc, 17" high, 3 1/4" wide, Paper Scrip is inside the drum, copper cap wrapped around the tip of Bamboo handle at the end of the handle, the condition is good. This piece was in the private collection since 1990, purchased in Lhasa during their trip.
