This is a heavy-for-its size (about six pounds) sculpture in a heavy, dark wood like mahogany (ironwood?), measuring about 10" high by about 5" on a side. In addition to the dark heavy wood, there are carved teeth of bone, and carefully applied white paint detail in the eyes. Carved into the base are the words "Ngambela Mataa". I have googled the term and it seems to be applied to a figure who was in Zambia in the late 19th century to as late as 1928, when there was some murder there...

A work in ink and watercolor by the familiar and popular New Mexico artist PERCY TSISETE SANDY ("KAI SA"), 1918-1974. Measurements are 13 1/2" by 9 1/4" (19 1/2" by 15 3/4" nicely framed in hand carved distressed wood look framing, possibly mesquite or even cactus wood). The subject is a traditional kachina dancer of the Hopi people in full costume. A delightful and diminutive, circa 1950's, Baby Boomer Era, set of children's wooden architectural building blocks marked "Made in Japan".

Measuring a slight 4" x 5", the brightly painted blocks are housed in a highly-detailed cardboard box featuring a colorful graphic of a young child playing with them. This toy was also used in the primary grade classrooms to help develop fine motor coordination and dexterity.

Condition is quite fine with the exception noted of 2 missing blocks.

An original Mexican movie poster, for a movie released in 1952, "Mujer de Medianoche", starring Gloria Marin and Victor Junco, directed by Victor Urruchua, the artwork dated 1950 by Carlos Vega. Apparently there was some delay in releasing the film. This example retains the electric blue and yellow color, but the very fragile, acidic, thin paper on which this was printed has deteriorated seriously with time and careless handling...

This is a real favorite of mine. A signed photograph of Rhode Island Reds Hockey team general manager, Lou Pieri(1897-1967). The inscription in ball point pen is a bit indistinct but reads " The Best RI Reds Team Ever Lou Pieri". I'm assuming these are the wives of the players. Pieri was an American basketball and ice hockey executive and coach( see Wikipedia for further information). The 8X10 B&W photo has some creasing and minor wear at the bottom and top edge; the frame shows some wear.
