Very uncommon pair of transfer-printed pottery plates depicting King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. Their royal majesties are surrounded by an ornate border of roses. The edges of the plates are scalloped and molded. The plates are glazed in a brilliant gold color that contrasts beautifully with the grays and blacks of the transfer print. This is a very delicate 14K yellow gold and enamel pin featuring a centered blue enamel flower flanked by five seed pearls on each corner, unmarked,; measures 1 1/4 in approx, wt. 1.9g, Condition is good to very good with minor curve in pin, possible repair to clasp, damage to pearls on one side, may need cleaning.

Antique early 19th century or earlier Islamic Turkish Ottoman bronze hawking drum known as Nakare. A squat domed form body with square lug finial pierced with a hole for suspension rope, engraved with decorative concentric bands. It is also engraved with an Arabic script that runs around the outer half of the drum, “Syed Mahmoud, Son of Syed Lesa” and the Hijri date 1232 (circa 1816 AD).

It is possible that the inscription was engraved for the new owner, and the drum is much older.
