A nice set of three lovely laquered and stamped silver bar coins, Thailand, c. 16th.-17th. cent. and a Laotian 'Canoe' money bar in silver-bronze, c. 1707-1889 AD.

The Laos Canoe money weighs 113.5 grams and the three Thai silver coins, 58.48 gr., 49,34 gr. and 65.31 gr., so it's probably same issue but different dating, in the 16th.-17th. century.

Loch Duich is a sea loch on the west coast of Scotland. The title includes the number 799 and the initials G.W.W. for George Washington Wilson (Scottish, 1823-1893). An interesting gold filled on silver (?) locket with an engine turned cover on either side lifting to reveal a close up daguerreotype of a well-dressed woman on one side and on the other side of the locket a well-dressed man. They both look to be around forty years old and perhaps since the locket has a stem and ring it was meant to be worn like a small pocket watch by a grown child of theirs. 1 ½ inches diameter, with the stem and ring an additional 5/8 inches long.

Issues: the cover is a bit worn with fraying/wear at the corners and bottom; the back cover is loose from the book ( see photos). Illustrated however no artist is mentioned.
