Unusual early Showa period (1930s) ceramic sake cup made in nerikomi (agateware) technique, its body with vertical grooves all around the perimeter. Nerikomi (translated as “mix and pull up”) is achieved by laminating different colored clays together and throwing them on a wheel to develop a swirling and spiraling effect. Beautifully made, wonderful patterns, glazed on the inside for safe drinking, inscribed by the potter the bottom, very pleasant to hold...
19th century good size agate ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in ball shape with beautiful play of natural agate colors. Nice surface, very pleasant patina. Diameter 0.98 inches.

A stunning Kamakura Bori tea tray. It was hand rubbed to enhance the red and black lacquers that were applied over the wood carved tray. In very good condition, it measures 10" diameter x 1.5" deep.
Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with pink body and twisted ribbons forming a brocade pattern. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece, in perfect condition. Height 0.65 inches.

4 hand enameled cocktail glasses featuring colorful roosters. Unlike most rooster glasses, these do not depict a cock fight--so none of the glasses has a dead chicken on it!
The glasses have gilding along the rims and around the feet. Very colorful!
Origin: American, ca. 1930's. Condition: excellent condition, except the gilding has a bit of wear and one glass has a tiny nick at the edge of the foot. Size: 3-5/8" tall.
Heisey made this Colonial Panel Cheese & and Cracker dish (one piece -- not glued) before 1912 when it used the large diamond "H" logo. It measures about 9.5" wide and is in excellent condition.

Set of 8 beautiful vintage Japanese scalloped porcelain plates from the mid 20th century. The plates are decorated with flowers and other patterns. The outside of the plates are decorate with a blue scrolling pattern. The base is marked with 6 characters. They measure 8" wide.
A Chinese porcelain bowl used for growing bulb flowers. The bowl dates to the Republic period, and measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 2". The landscape decoration has been done in a ruby pink under glaze, and there is calligraphy done in black on each end. The white porcelain shows orange peel texture, and when new there was gold on the rim. Condition: The condition is excellent, but most of the gold on the rim is gone, and there are small kiln flaws. Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the #1131 candlestick - part of the Spanish Knobs variation - in emerald green. Offered is a very nice set of brass weights manufactured by Fisher Scientific Co., dating to the turn of the 20th century.
The weights are housed in a fitted, hard wood case that appears to be maple, and it includes a brass tweezers for securing the six individual milligram weights. Also included are eight of the nine brass matching weights, with only the 1mg weight missing.
The wooden case measures 6 inches long x 2.5 inches wide x 1.5 inches high and sports a metal label on top...
Delightful set of six napkins and six matching cocktail "booties" featuring hand-embroidered roosters sipping cocktails. The borders have drawn-work borders with contrasting pale blue trim.

This Cambridge Wildflower 3-part, 3-handled covered candy was made somewhere between 1940-58. It is 8" across and in excellent condition.
A vintage English leather traveling case intended to hold a set of shirt studs. The top is embossed "Studs" in gilt letters. The interior has a sueded surface. Though intended for use when traveling, these boxes are an excellent way to store either cufflinks or studs on a daily basis. The bottom is marked "Real Hide Made In England."

Nice wooden recipe box in the form of a book. The cover has burnt and painted decoration showing a cocktail shaker and a beverage. The "title" of the book is "The Art of Mixing Cocktails". The cover opens to reveal a storage area for paper recipe cards specifically designed for cocktail recipes. Ca. 1920. Very good condition; the leather binding on the hinge has dried out and has surface flaking. 6-3/4" x 5-1/4".
Six(6) Japanese Gilded on Copper Hardware fittings, early 1900's, 2" wide, 2 1/4" deep include long nail, loose 3 pieces fit together tight once nailed in place. One of them has old black lacquer finish and most of gilt finish worn off, no missing pieces.
