Very nice piece of Chinese hardstone fruit. The leaves are a translucent green jade with the persimmon being rose quartz. There are two small legs in the back for positioning and stability. In excellent condition, it measures as displayed 4" across.

A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger by Thomae & Co. The rim is engraved "Only A Thimble Full." The interior retains its original gilding. Several companies made variationss of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best because of their superior weight and workmanship.

Elegantly line engraved vase by Tapio Wirkkala, from the Kantarelli series he made for Iittala glassworks in 1951. Kantarelli is the Finnish word for the delicious yellow mushroom, the chanterelle. Signed Tapio Wirkkala Iittala. Height "6 ¾ / 17 cm. Condition: fine.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with cherry red body and 2 clusters of white flowers and beautiful ribbed leaves. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see finely textured petals and yellow centers of the flowers and fine structures of the leaves, in perfect condition. Height 0.65 inches.

Reddish brown sack mask to which are fastened three gourds, one on top and one over each ear, and painted reddish brown. Rag ruff. Kilt made from a woman's old dress. Body painted with red-brown clay. He carries a feather and a rattle. Koyemsi is the most common Hopi clown. He appears in Mixed Katsina Dances and sometimes a group of Koyemsi appear in a dance of their own. At First Mesa they are said to sing Zuni songs. Length 3 1/8" X Width at the shoulders 1"

This depression glass cream soup bowl is the Newport or Hairpin pattern. Made by Hazel Atlas during the 1930's, the bowl is amethyst glass.(Hazel Atlas called this 'burgundy' in their ads, but it's a true amethyst.) Excellent condition. Wonderful Japanese tea bowl RAKU ware. This bowl was made between 1900 and 1940. Excellent condition. It has an exquisite contrast of colours, great form and glazing The potter's mark is in the bottom. RAKU is a light weight ceramic ware with a long history in Japan and particularly prized in the tea ceremony. RAKU means happiness, pleasure, enjoyment, satisfaction. Size: 4.5" X 3.3". Brilliant Cut Glass Box w/Etched Floral Top - This is a lovely cut glass hinged box with a floral design etched into the top. The sides have sort of a thumbprint pattern going around it. It is in perfect condition, and measures 3" tall x 5" wide.

Attractive sommerso stylized water bird is documented in Leslie Pinas' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO, page 126-7, valued there at $1000-1200. This is a fine sculptural interpretation of the natural environment of the Venetian Lagoon, which has provided inspiration to centuries of Murano glassblowers. Measuring 15.5", this Archimede Seguso masterpiece is in excellent condition, unmarked.

Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company made the Venetian from 1932-33. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. This lamp comes with a Model A burner. Thanks for looking.
