Japanese clay doll, Kabuki doll with a dragon. 13"h x 9 1/2" at the widest.
This type of clay dolls are somehow all originated from the Fushimi clay doll of the Kyoto area.
Fushimi dolls were originally sold as souvenirs to the pilgrims on the road of Fushimi Kaidou from Kyoto to Fushimi Inari Shrine in the early Edo period (1600-1868). When the hina dolls were still very limited to a few wealthy people in early 1900s, these clay dolls were for the regular people...
Vintage good size glass ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in barrel shape with subtle black, blue and green pattern. Beautifully made, pleasantly heavy, wonderful smooth surface. Diameter 0.94 Inches.

Offered is this beautiful Fratelli Toso 'Starry Night' Murano art glass vase. The vase is 8 3/4 inches (22 cm) tall and 5 1/4 inches (13 cm) wide at the top. It is in excellent condition. Polished pontil. Unsigned, but guaranteed to have been made by Fratelli Toso (a similar vase is shown on page 90 of Leslie Pina's book, 'Italian Glass century 20' - shown in last two pictures here for your convenience).

Marked with 3 dots at bottom, which is the mark of the Karatsu potter Nakazato Toraemon XII Muan. Japan, around 1960s/1970s.

Ikebana basket (hanakago) made of dark brow varnished bamboo wickerwork, elongated rounded shape, with a handle made of three varnished wooden branches. Thicker bamboo braids on the four sides. The roughness of the handle is a reminder of a raw wood and contrasts with the delicate weaving braiding of the basket.
