Medium: Japanese shin-hanga woodblock print made from a carved wood block. Mechanization was added to the printing process.

This porcelain bowl was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century. It has both an impressed shield and printed mark. It is 8 1/8 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain is designed with molded ribs and slight scallops on the rim. It is hand painted with a bouquet of flowers in the center and little buds dotting the border. The rim is trimmed with gold. The quality and value of this piece is evident in its workmanship.

Fratelli Toso Millefiori Paperweight, 6 Green canne centered ruffled Latimo and raspberry florets surrounding a central ruffled floret of the same design on a gold foil or aventurine ground. Measures 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide by 2 1/2 inches (6.3 cm) tall. Remnants of blue and silver foil Toso label. Condition is excellent with no scratches or bruises. Circa 1950 - 1960.

Three cups and saucer trays by Noritake, Japan, mid 50’s. Saucers shaped like water lily leaves – a modernist design also reminding of the painter’s palette shape so much in vogue in the 50’s in ceramics, jewelry, teak wood and more. The cups to fit at one side, in order to allow for a sandwich or some biscuits. The back with the N and ribbon mark in use from 1953. Width of saucers "9 ½ / 24 cm, height of cups "2 2/3 / 6.8 cm. Two hand hammered pewter vases of the same model, of different size. Designed by Georg Nilsson and produced by the big Dutch cutlery manufacturer Gero in the Danish factory they had purchased in 1922 and where GN (trained by Georg Jensen) was the chief designer. Marked Gerotin (tin is Danish for pewter). Height "3¼/ 8 and "2¼/ 6 cm. Condition: fine.
A glass bead decorated gourd from the Maasai people in Kenya. This type of gourd is used traditionally for the mixture of milk and blood that is a staple of the Maasai diet. Early 20th century.

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by Meissen in the mid-20th century. It is 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches high. It is made of superb quality hard paste porcelain. It is decorated with expertly hand painted flowers. They are realistic and very colorful. The rims are trimmed with gold.
Condition: Excellent, first quality.
Blowpipes have been used for hunting in some parts of the world, and in Western Flanders blowpipe with darts or arrows was a popular sport for about a hundred years, starting at the beginning of the 19th century. Winnowing basket called "箕(mi)"which is used by farmers to eliminate or blow out unnecessary stuffs. It is made of bamboo and covered with washi and painted with kakishibu (persimmon tannin). Bamboo mi is made in rather warmer region and bast of trees are made in colder region, however, it is not clear when these ones are made. Generally, in good condition but have some minor breaks or rips. 20th century. W:45cm to 43cm, L:36.5cm to 34cm. Possible to sell one piece for $40.
