Japanese porcelain high footed dish in the form of a late 17th century Nabeshima dish. This one is a fairly straight forward copy of one of a set of dishes at the Tokyo Museum depicting an old cherry tree with abundant blossoms, proably made sometime in the 20th century. Underglaze blue and overglaze enamels. 10 inches (25.5 cm) diameter and 2 7/8 inches (7.5 cm) tall.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs.

Four volumes of sample books of mingei textiles which are all natural dye and handwoven from Aomori to Kagoshima prefecture. Some are designated as intangible national assets, however some haven't been woven anymore now, and some are reproduced. They include precious bast fibers such as fuji-fu (wisteria), shina-fu, kuzu-fu and so on. They also have natural dye textiles such as shikon-zome, akane-zome, indigo dye Arimatsu Narumi shibori, tsumugi and so on...

A silver jigger engraved with the pennant of the Norwegian-American Lines and the name of the passenger liner SS Stavangerfjord. The ship was commissioned in 1917 and sailed until 1963. In 1964, it was anchored in Tokyo Bay for use a hotel during the Tokyo Olympics. This rare, modernist bowl is quite exquisite. It is made by Aage Wiemar, Denmark. It has an approximate diameter of 3" and stands about 7/8". The bottom of the bowl is marked PURE SILVER AAGE WEIMAR DENMARK and has 4 other maker's marks/hallmarks below the above. The third mark is 9584. The bottom also has marks that are made by hand. The bowl/dish weighs just over 4 ounces.

This Turkman Yomut's child's cap from Herat measures 17.8 cm in diameter and 49.5 cm in circumference, 5.5 cm in height. It is estimated to date to the mid 20th century and is in excellent condition.
