Lovely English 1920's pink guilloche enamel sterling 8 day clock. This great little octagonal clock measures 3 1/8" by 3 1/8". A finely chased silver edge accents the guilloche enameling. The clock face is a beige color with black deco numerals and dark blue hands. The face is covered with a slightly convex glass. Brass easel back. Marks include an anchor, a lion, and an "A"-Birmingham, sterling, 1925. In addition there are makers marks which appear to be ABLP. Excellent condition.
This pretty crystal and sterling silver perfume bottle has a partial mark for Sterling (and it tests as sterling), and another partial mark: “…AXCO” for TAXCO. Extremely rare sleek & elegant pair of hand wrought sterling silver candlesticks designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Each stick measures 8 1/4" high with a 2 3/4" base. The pair weighs 612 grams or 1 1/2 lbs. Exquisite condition. Each stick hallmarked on base. A set of eight sterling silver gilt demitasse spoons by David Andersen with white enamel guilloche. Measure 3 7/8" long. Marked on the backs David-Andersen Norway Sterling. A vintage bronze Japanese Shishi or Fu Dog Okimono holding a spherical scrolling vine ball. Biting a decorative rope, its mouth is open to expel evil. Made in two parts, the sphere separates from the Shishi.
The Shishi is a mythical creature whose purpose to to protect Buddhism. Often seen at the entrance to Buddhist temples, it guards and protects believers of the faith.

Early Carder Steuben gold Aurene vase with ruffled rim. The 3 1/4 inch tall vase measures 4 inches across the rim, is signed “Aurene 162" and has the soft early coloration of the early production pieces. There is a polished pontil and a stretched onion skin effect on the rim. The piece is in excellent condition.

A very handsomely decorated set of 12 sterling silver demitasse spoons. The handles are finely decorated with a cast and pierced stylized bellflower. The swirling character of the finial design nicely contrasts with the more angular line of the lower handles and the oval bowls. The backs are fully marked with Swedish hallmarks for 830 silver, including the town mark for Norberg.

A unique piece, made of a tropical wood, 12 1/4" by 6" by 3 1/4", the box hinged, opening from the top, revealing scooped-out recesses when opened. A bird incised with a burning tool and the date 1964 also so incised appear on the front portion that opens out. On the sides, likewise, a design is burned into the wood. This appears to me to be of Caribbean (Haitian?), Mexican/Central American or South American origin, though I suppose it could be African (I think, much less likely). When found...

Fostoria made these lustres from 1930-40. A simple 4.5" base rising to an 8.5" stick with attached bobeche cascading with hanging crystals. This pair are in excellent condition, the tips of the crystals are best described as weathered, not sharp but obviously dulled by time. The sticks are yellow with permanently attached bobeche. Pattern #2436 is are considered RARE.
