Chinese antique turned wooden brush pot in Huanghuali wood. The pot tapers towards the triple beaded turned base, fashioned to look like a stand and has a slightly rolled top with a recessed base. No mark. Good patination of the wood.

Approximately 22 cm high by 17-1/5 cm diameter at widest point.

Good condition with normal signs of use.

Note: I have lightened some of the pictures up quite a bit so that the details of the grain of the wood can be seen.

Painted in mirror images with figures surrounded by buildings in a mountainous coastal landscape. The opposite side with grey birds perched upon a slender prunus. Each side and tops of the vase contain texts and poems...

A Chinese Beijing yellow glass vase, 'yuhuchunping'. This thick-walled multi-layered vase formed with a pear-shaped body is raised on a slightly flared rolled foot. The opaque glass is a bright egg-yolk yellow colour. Qianlong incised four-character mark within a single square. A well-made and heavy vase.

Early vintage Chinese bracelet with a pale green carved chalcedony centerpiece knotted to three strands of cobalt blue Chinese Peking glass beads. Very beautiful antique circa 1900 pale blue Chinese Peking glass necklace, possibly a prayer necklace, with 30 round beads carved in a basketweave pattern, and a center oblong pendant with carving and piercing, all strung on the original very intricately Chinese knotted thread. Each cake is molded with designs of scholars on the fronts and raised calligraphy on the reverse. The designs on the front are all gilded in two shades of gold, and the reverse has gilt seals and some script gilded as well. Each piece is unused and is in good condition.
