Tugubele figures represent helpful bush spirits. The belong to the local ritual expert of the Senufo people, assisting them with their oracles and predictions.
This figure dates from the first half of the 20th century and shows good signs of use.

Classic vase by Mashiko artist Murata Gen (Japan, born in Ishikawa Prefecture, 1904-1988). Murata Gen apprenticed with Shoji Hamada before becoming an independent potter in 1954. This work is 8 1/2" high and 6 1/2" wide. Signed with the "MU" character within a diamond. In excellent condition.
Tibetan shamanic horn whose local name is Nag Ru or sometimes also Thun-rva. This horn can contain either incense or essentially vegetable matter with medicinal properties. Presence of sculptures of some auspicious symbols, chorten, turtle, dorgi, mandala. The tapered part represents a Makara mouth which has an orifice to project the contents during rituals. Very good condition, good age at least mid-20th. H 16 cm, max diameter 4.5 cm

This ritual plaque is from Himachal Praddesh ( North West India). The local name is 'Mohra'. These plaque are usually bronze casted, but copper “repoussz” can also be found. They are depicting Lord Shiva in his Ardhanaresvara form, i.e half woman and half man. Unusual Japanese WWII metal obidome (sash ornament) with low relief chrysanthemum flower and stylized character on the front, and 2 characters and year 1942 on the back. Beautiful metal work, nicely made back of the piece. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Very well made, pleasant patina. Diameter 1.18 inches.
