A Song Dynasty Ruyao Sky-Blue Glazed Floral Gu Vase Gracefully glazed in sky-blue, the ceramic vase is shaped after an earlier bronze vessel. Its outstanding design and firing technique are typical of the ceramic-making craftsmanship of ruyao kiln as developed in Song Dynasty.

A lovely powder flask out of an old collection, made in wood in the shape of a Pilgrim flask with a chiselled star in the front, reverse with a faint leaf pattern. North Africa, 19th. century.

This is a matching pair of decorative prints, 14" by 9 1/2", in thin simple black frames, the prints appearing to be on thin tissue type paper, laid on boards. I am not knowledgeable about Japanese prints, but I would guess these to be of 20th century age. They appear to be in some places unevenly discolored, and browned by age (though not as much as the photos might indicate), but perhaps the paper was brownish to begin with. At the edges there are some losses and stains...
A pair of Japanese Kutani sake cups with scalloped rims and enameled decoration of Phoenix birds, Paulownia leaves and the Tokugawa mon or crest, the interior with auspicious symbols. The Tokugawa clan reigned Japan as Shoguns from 1603 to 1867. Kutani Fuku (happiness)mark in iron red, a mark in use during the Tokugawa period. Height "1 2/3 / 4.2 cm. Condition: each with a short hairline from the rim.

An antique Chinese Lingbi stone (scholar's rock or spirit stone) has a very distinct ring when it is struck. Scholar's rocks are appreciated for their unusual shapes, asymmetry, color and texture. Scholars refer to them as "bones of the earth". It is a carved blackish stone overhang with perforations. It set upon a contemporary Shuozhou style carved rosewood base with 4 rounded feet.

This carved jadeite Guan-Yin is holding a vase and a string of prayer beads. It is 1 ¾ inches long. It is carved on both sides and a small hole has been drilled for a bale. It is in good condition.
