Vintage Japanese Satsuma tea set with 2 cups with lids and a teapot with bamboo handle. the set is dedicated for a honorary gift written in gold on the back side and each cup and the teapot are signed. Good condition though there is some staining from use. This set was purchased in 1990 in Kagoshima . No damage wear to gold, size cup h 3" to finial and 3" wide the teapot 4.25 to top of finial.

A large Chinese 20th-century celadon glazed porcelain vase with a baluster body, rising to a trumpet neck, flanked by a dragon handles with rings.
The body is richly adorned with an incised in a low relief lotus pattern.
CONDITION: In very good condition, no cracks, chips, or repairs.

Chinese Tang Style Black Jade? recumbent foo dog Lion scholar object possibly a scroll weight. Well carved foo lion in a black stone with very heavy wear on the base showing what seems to be hundreds of years' worth of wear as well as the mid-section of the body. Export seal on head. this came from the estate of a noted archologist. Size l 3.25" w 2" h 1.6"
A large pair of decorative vases painted with a pattern of stylised peonies in underglaze blue and gilt set against an iron red ground. The vases are of compressed mallet shaped form with wasted body and flared mouth, a form used at the Fukugawa factory from the late 19th century onwards. Probably early 20th century in date.
The vases weigh respectively 2.152kg and 2.016kg and stand 29cmand 28.7cm high...

This is a hinggi from east Sumba, probably dated to the mid to late 20th century. The weave technique is warp ikat, plain woven and hand spun cotton.
