A Moorcroft art pottery 5-7/8" vase in the Anemone pattern in the flambe line. This vase was produced 1947-53 period. This vintage example is stamped MOORCROFT MADE IN ENGLAND with Walter Moorcroft's monogram underglaze signature and cypher. An Uzbek ikat-dyed silk ceremonial robe (chapan) from northern Afghanistan, quilted with cotton interlining. Condition is overall good, albeit with some minor staining. This early American Pattern Glass toothpick holder was made by McKee in 1904. It is 3 5/8" tall and not hallmarked. This pattern is called Peek-A-Boo or Cherub because it has 2 naked babies holding up a barrel (8 panel)
Reference : Glass Toothpick Holders by Bredehoft and Samford 2nd edition, page 128.- The newer ones made after 1940 have a cupped and stippled base.
From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a very striking and highly unusual vintage silk on cotton kilim style rug, Persia, executed in a bold multi-colored palette of red, gold, purple, blue, rust, green, brown, peach, pink, cream, turquoise and black. It's a legitimate reflex to assume this unusual kilim comes from somewhere in the Caucasus Region, but further research suggests that the lion and double eagles in the center panel are actually Persian motifs de guerre...

(Full translation of what is written on the bell is available). Made by Fujiwara Sadaatsu. Inscription says it was made for world peace.
From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a beautiful vintage Indian silk sari executed in a rich and lively multi-colored palette. The central panel uses purple and red silks along with gold thread woven into elaborate floral and geometric designs, and the borders use blue and green silks along with gold thread as well.

Art deco oribe ceramic vase by Shigetaka Kato b.1927-d.2013.
Shigetaka was born the second son of Kato Tokuro in 1927. He graduated the Seto Industrial School of Ceramics and studied under his father. This is a really pretty Milk Glass Paneled Grape Handled Basket made by Westmoreland Glass. This Basket measures 5 1/2 inches X 4 3/4 inches across the ruffled top of the base X 5 inches high to the top of the handle. A nice set of three carvings in emerald, incl. bird bear paw with claws and Parrot / bird Fetish, Native American, probably Zuni, Navaho tribe and 20th. century (3).
The carvings are cut and polished in one emerald stone in transperant light blue-green colours, very attractive small animals.
Zuni fetishes are small carvings made from primarily stone but also shell, fossils, and other materials by the Zuni people...
