Chinese soapstone pebble, beautifully carved with scene of three luohan (monks), one is standing with alms bowl outstretched out of which a cloud of mist rises and wraps to the reverse of the pebble, two bats fly over the bowl, surrounding the monks are rocks and low branches, lovely yellow and buff colors, on carved wooden base.

This ivory carving of a fairy riding a mythical beast is a mid 20th century product. It is 5 ½” high (6 ½” high with carved fitted wood base), 4” wide and 1 ½” thick. It depicts the fairy, He Xiangu, holding a lotus leaf and blossoms in one hand and a fly whisk in the other hand. She is sitting side ways on her mythical beast. He Xiangu is the only female deity of the Chinese eight immortals...
This charming little girl's cap from Indus Kohistan measures 21 cm in diameter and 44 cm in circumference. It is densely embroidered in silk thread on black cotton, a combination of extremely fine cross stitch (petit point) and satin stitch forming geometric patterns. As well, the cap is embellished with decorative trinkets including buttons, embossed silver discs, glass beads and tiny brass bells and pendants which are considered to have amuletic power...

This very nice Chinese seal stone carving of a seated merchant is a mid 20th century product. It depicts a well dressed merchant sitting comfortably while holding a bag on his shoulder. He has an engaging smile on his face. It is 2 3/8” high, 1 ¾” wide and 1” thick. It is in excellent condition.
