Fenton made Black Rose for a little over one year from 1953-54. This 8.5" Jack-in-the-Pulpit vase is in mint condition. All of Black Rose is considered rare.

Rare and very large hand made clay Santos, possibly the Virgin Mary, Cuba, c.1900. Female figure with hinged moveable(when created but no longer)arms. Has three angels and crescent moon and stands on base. There is a little bit of "hair" on head of woman. The piece stands 25 1/2" tall and the base is 8" wide. Heavy weight. One Japanese porcelain mamezara (bean, or appetizer, dish.) Fine blue and white decoration of a landscape on one panel and particularly fine shades of blue decoration of a flowering prunus branch on another. Karakusa decoration on the back. Spurious Ming Chenghua mark inside the foot rim. Good condition. Length, about 6 inches. Ca 1900/Early 20th century. A small bird by Sabino, Paris. Marius Sabino was an Italian glass artist who moved to France in the 1920’s. Like Lalique, he worked with moulded and opalescent glass. Incised mark Sabino, Paris. Moonstone is the name of this opalescent hobnail pattern that was produced by Hocking Glass Company from 1941 to 1946. Large Japanese woodblock print of a horse by the artist Nakayama, Tadashi (born 1927). Titled, "Cyclone". This image of a horse stands with it's mane billowing with bits of color and metalic leaf. The head of the horse is patterned with colors while most of the body remains a dapple of charcoal and white. In the background, a series of thin circular lines accent a metalic leaf sun or moon. Signed in pencil and numbered 85 of 85...

A pair of decorative table cloths made by Pashtun women, with mirrored, beaded discs ("gul-i-peron") on each corner which serve as protective amulets. The blue bead edging is typical of Pashtun textiles, and is used extensively on purses and clothing as a prophylactic against the evil eye. Silk thread in vibrant colors has been applied in mostly herringbone stitch on a pink cotton background with cording. Each panel measures 26.5 x 26.5 cm. Condition of the pair is excellent...

Thinly potted with a double branch stem bearing graceful leaves that frame two large side peony blossoms.

The bowl covered all over in a warm olive-green glaze. The exterior carved with a band of simplified lines that ends below the rim and above the foot ring, resting on a short base.
