A small Japanese hibachi formally known as te-aburi or a hand warmer which were often found in traditional Japanese homes. The hand warmer is shaped in the form of a winter pumpkin known as an akoda and the design has been in use since the 17th century. A stunning silver glazed Tokkuri by artist Kozuru Gen (b. 1938) in the original signed kiri wood box. The vase is completely covered in silver or platinum glaze with sansai like yellow and green in spontaneous crystalline dabs set in extra drippings of thick silver about the circumference. Countering this strength of character is faded orange, adding a subtle suggestion inside the mouth of the bulbous Tokkuri form. The vase, which dates circa 1980, is 7 inches (18 cm) tall...

10 Japanese Lacquer covered bowls with beautiful sprays of Chrysanthemums in gold and red colors continued from the top cover to the side of the bowl, 3 1/2" high with top on, 4 3/4" diameter-rim, gold painted wavy flowing water design under the cover. The condition is good, no damages.

This porcelain box was produced in Hungary by Herend between 1905 and 1938. It measures 4 inches long, 3 1/4 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The box is decorated with bright hand painted fruits and flowers. There are tiny flower buds, nuts and bugs dotting the corners. The box has four little feet. It is trimmed with gold on the rims. A vintage maroon velvet Bulova man's watch box with gilt mounts c1930s. Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with cherry red body and 2 clusters of white flowers and beautiful ribbed leaves. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see finely textured petals and yellow centers of the flowers and fine structures of the leaves, in perfect condition. Height 0.65 inches.

A hand carved wood totem pole on a round base, made for the tourist trade at mid-century, no signature, 7" high and 6 1/4" widest point on the wings, with original yellow sticker on the back from Indian Craft Shoppe, 905 Government Street, Victoria, British Columbia. There is a little chip off the tip of one wing, otherwise is in good condition.
