This porcelain dish was produced in Bavaria, Germany by Tirschenreuth in the 1960s. It measures 7 5/8 inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. Bengt Edenfalk vase for Skruf. This squat, rounded corner vase is from the 1950's Spun series where glass threads are wound around the exterior of the piece as decoration. Edenfalk was a designer for Skruf from 1953 to 1978, then Kosta from 1978 on, pieces from the Spun series were featured in a major exhibition at Corning Museum of Glass in 1959. This charming covered jar in translucent yellow glass is topped with an opaque green fruit with stem. Made in the 1890s by Salviati. The body of the jar and lid are ribbed and have a lovely iridescence. The bottom of the base has multi-point pontil marks. It stands 6" high and 4" wide. A similar fruit-topped lid is shown in Carol Osbourne's "Venetian Glass of the 1890s: Salviati at Stanford University" P. 126, Plate 137.

Silk kimono decorated in yuzen technique with design of flowering stalks. Bamboo, cherry blossom and marigold. On the stalks small beetles crawl up. Outlines of flowers in silver. Inside partly lined with red silk. Japan, Showa period, mid 20th century.

A lidded bowl of flattened shape. Shiny glaze over flower fantasy motif in typical Gouda Art Noveau style, c 1920's. Diameter "6 ¾/ 17 cm, height "3 ½/ 9 cm. Painted marks 741 and Gouda, gate-mark, Holland and painter's mark "P", the figures also incised. Condition: chip to rim of lid as shown on photo, otherwise fine.

Japanese vase of convex shape, Totai decoration of a bird and a butterfly among leaves and berry bushes. The motif created by thin metal threads is filled in with colored lacquer and polished. The brown lacquer background is carved as to resemble tree bark (totai).
