A black-glazed ewer was finely mold with a chicken-head on the spout.
The glaze was in greasy-feel condition when time-enduring crackles were yielded.

A Chinese jade vase, carved as a lotus leaf with a flower in one corner and a ribbon tying the leaf and its coiled trailing stalk forming the base. The composition is very attractive, the body is quite thinly carved and the stone is of celadon hue. A high quality example of Qing lapidary arts, it measures 14 cm ( 5 1/2 inches) high. A fine Japanese incense burner, made of wood with pierced gilt copper lid, the interior with copper lining. On a black lacquer ground slightly raised decoration showing a landscape with rockwork and trees in different gold lacquer techniques. A rare Burmese book with paper (made from mulberry tree bark) pages, the front and back covers with lacquer relief decoration with small inset glass spangles. A textile panel made of different dyed silk stripes, exquisitely embroidered with motifs from Zoroastrian myths such as fishes or botehs. The backing is a coarse blue dyed cotton, framed by a black ribbon. A wonderful double sided smalt trade sign for D.M. Woodward, Doctor of Chiropractic. The gilded letters and the black smalt background are virtually intact and vibrant. The frame is original, and measures 28 3/4 inches by 14 inches by 2 inches deep. There is a small sliver out of the frame at one upper edge, and a small gap in the frame at the corner. Aside from these very minor flaws, the piece is in excellent condition.

Large Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Ewer

This wide-bodied porcelain ewer was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is particularly "heavily-potted" for its type. It has a "kinked" spout, a wide loop handle and two decorative loops on opposite sides joined at the shoulder and neck. It is coated in a fairly thick greenish blue glaze that is crackled in places. Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl (Hongzhi)

This blue and white porcelain bowl with flared rim was made during the late 15th - early 16th century (Hongzhi reign 1488 – 1505). The outer wall is decorated in underglaze blue with a honeycomb pattern. The central decoration is loosely based on a vajra (Buddhist sceptre) with various other decorations around the inner wall. It is coated in a finely-crackled glaze.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Glazed Pottery Ridge Tile - Lion Dog

This sturdy ridge tile in the form of a seated lion-dog dates to the latter part of the Ming Dynasty (c. 1600 - 1644). It is coated in a thick and finely-crackled attractive turquoise glaze. The curved underneath of the tile remains unglazed and has the impressions of a finely-woven cloth on which it must have been placed during manufacture.
