Fine LARGE Chinese Neolithic Banpo Cord-Impressed Pottery Amphora with Oxford TL Test
This fine and incredibly ancient pottery vessel was made over 6,000 years ago during the Banpo phase (c. 4800 - 4300 BC) of the Yangshao culture in present-day Shaanxi province. This form is probably the most well-known of Banpo pottery, if not of all Chinese Neolithic pottery, and no serious collection of Chinese ceramics should be without an example!

An 18th Century Japanese porcelain scalloped serving bowl, with lid, decorated with the Imari colors of red, blue, white, cream, and gold. The tureen measures about 9 1/4" long x 6 1/2" wide x 7" tall. The Shippo design family crest has been applied in gold on the blue panels. The finial is modeled as a sixteen pedal chrysanthemum blossom. The condition is excellent, with some wear to gold highlights. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

A wood water basin was nicely carved in shape of a lotus leaf with a lotus pond.
It was preserved in very good condition by nice brownish patina.
Some of the seeds in the lotus pond were still movable when some were sticked but nothing is missing.
It was a charming and very rare piece by this type.

Wonderful art deco 14k and diamond very large bow ring. The ring is designed so that the bow strings go back into the hand and make a very major statement. The ring, quite long, measures 1 1/2" and is 3/8" wide on the side. It is size 7 and in excellent condition. It is SIGNED "14K #11 CJGJLRY". The last rare Joseon Dynasty Munjado-Chaekgeori combination screen offered for sale was a decade ago at auction. It will likely be at least that long until you see another, if you ever see one for sale again at all. Even most museums have been unable to find one to acquire. EXTREMELY RARE: Large and very substantial(weighs 20 troy oz.) sterling OPEN serving bowl hand made by William Spratling, Mexico, c.1931. Beautifully hand hammered, this piece measures 11" by 7" by 2 1/2" high. It has a rounded bottom and sides with beautiful handles. The sides are rounded inward and will not accept a top. Wonderful blue Cluthra M-handled vase standing 10 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter at its widest point. The vase is shape 8508 and is entirely mixed blue and white from top to bottom. It does not shade to white at the bottom. The bubbles in the Cluthra are small (1/4 inch diameter or less) and are well distributed. There is no damage to this unsigned vase.
