A large and rare, early 19th C Gathering Basket from North Carolina of rectangle shape with 2 steamed and bent handles. In great condition, it is very tightly woven with a double wrapped rim. Basket is coated with cream colored paint, probably milk paint. Wood is unknown, possibly split oak. From the private collection of an appraiser of Early Americana. A 950 silver Komai damascene panels bracelet circa 1900 1920. This dramatic Big Red—a name Daniel Tretiak attached to Haku Maki’s large red prints, usually of single Chinese characters (kanji) on black backgrounds—is a character meaning ordinary or commonplace. But Maki has done it in a stand-out way. It is 17.5in W x 24.5inH. Chinese Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Cocoon Jar

This wonderfully-shaped pottery vessel, usually referred to as a "cocoon" jar was made over 2,000 years ago during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). The shape, named after its similarity to the silkworm cocoon, evolved during the late Warring States period (475 - 221 BC) and then generally died out by the middle of the Western Han Dynasty. Cocoon jars were used for the storage of grain.

A pair of 10 inch tall Pairpoint candlesticks in colorless glass with amethyst additions. The sticks are decorated in the classic “Waterford” pattern and are identified as shape F1622 Florentine candlesticks in the 1915 - 1920 company literature as illustrated in Padgett’s “Pairpoint Glass.” There is no damage to either candlestick.

Great example of a Durand champagne glass with ruby red cup and foot joined by an ambergris stem. The cup, stem and foot are nicely ribbed and measure 6 inches tall. The cup is 4 3/8 inches in diameter and the foot is 3 1/16 inches in diameter. The foot has a rolled rim and has a small polished pontil mark. This example is pristine.

A colorless Webb ewer or cruet decorated with an acid etched floral design and having an acorn stopper. The 7 ½ inch tall piece is 10 inches tall with the stopper in place. The stopper is not the original but is the correct style of stopper for this piece.

Fine Japanese 18th Century Moulded Arita Blue & White Porcelain Bowl

This attractive moulded porcelain bowl with an iron-brown edged foliate rim was made during the 18th century. The underglaze blue decoration of very good colour features three human figures in a garden. Around the outer wall is an elaborate scrolling design.

Diameter 13 cm. It is in fine condition with no repair or restoration and a good ring when tapped.
