A bronze Lion with its original dark patination made in China, possibly as a censer, during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644, most likely during the 16th or early 17th Century. Condition: there are some very old losses to the applied decoration - a part of the "beard" is missing,the right ear has been re-attached and the base has an old wood block infill; there has been no restoration. 14.5cm (5.7 inches)high; 14cm (5 inches) across.

A porcelain plate painted in shades of under glaze cobalt blue, in traditional Chinese taste, depicting two ducks swimming on a pond surrounded with aquatic plants. On the base is a six character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor within a double circle which reads "Da Qing Kangxi Nian Zhi" ("Great Qing Kangxi Year Made). This plate was made in the late 17th Century, circa 1690, during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). Unusually for a 'Mark and Period' piece this plate is a European shape and was probably made for export. A similar plate is to be found in the 1997 catalogue of S. Marchant & Son, Kensington Church Street, London W8. Condition: there is an 8mm chip and a number of small to tiny chips on the rim; there are no cracks and there have been no repairs or restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) diameter.

A rare porcelain stem cup attractively decorated in shades of under glaze blue. This item was made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province, China for export to Europe during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722).

Condition: very small chip to bottom of footrim; otherwise perfect - no damages and no restoration.

Height: 6.5 cm / 2.5 inches. Diameter: 6 cm / 2.3 inches 青花高足酒杯。江西景德镇所做。为康熙时期（1662-1722）的外销瓷。 品相：足圈处有一处小磕碰，除此外无其他损伤或修复。 高6.5厘米，直径：6厘米。

A rare 'Famille Noir' Chinese porcelain hat stand depicting five white four clawed dragons in flight over breaking waves amongst stylized clouds and flames on a black enamel background. The base carries an iron red seal mark of the the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) and was possibly made during his reign.

Condition: there are glaze losses to the enamels particularly on the vertical edges. There is a crack running from the rim to one of the ear cup shaped apertures. There have been no repairs or restoration.

A hand crafted silver comport, with bracketed rim, very finely decorated with traditional Burmese rural village scenes. This item was made in Burma (Myanmar) in the 19th Century under the rule of Queen Victoria and the British Empire. . Condition: excellent - no damages and no repairs. 14cm (5.5 inches) high; 16.5cm (6.5 inches) diameter. Weight: 340grams (12 oz)

A large, and heavy, Stick Stand, ( for holding walking sticks and umbrellas), profusely decorated, in Satsuma style, with a panapoly of historical scenes enclosed within elaborately enamelled textile (?) patterns and surmounted by a large coiled dragon amongst stylized clouds. This item was made in Japan for export to Europe or America during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: there are chips to the rim, some cracks around the base and losses to the head and claws of the dragon. 39cm (15.3 inches) high Weight: approx 9 kg (19lb 12oz).

A late 19th or early 20th Century porcelain snuff bottle, painted in shades of underglaze blue and pale olive green, depicting a lady and three boys in an interior or enclosed garden setting. The green hardstone stopper is probably jade and the spatula is finely carved ivory. Condition: there are many small burst production glaze bubbles: no chips or cracks and there has been no restoration. 7.5cm ( 3 inches) high (without stopper).

A heavy porcelain jardinere or plant holder very finely painted with flowering peony and other shrubs in shades of underglaze blue and standing on three Chinese Ming Dynasty style Lion head feet. This item was made in Japan during either the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) high; 31cm (12.25 inches) diameter.

An early 20th Century Zisha ("purple clay") teapot with famille rose enamelled decoration depicting the "Three Friends of Winter" - prunus (plumb) blossom, pine tree and bamboo - and also a single bat. This item was made in Yixing, Zhejiang province, China during the Republic period (1911-1949). The maker's or shop seal mark inside the cover reads "Rong Ji"; the elaborate seal mark on the base reads "Fu Kang Ying Kou". Ying Kou is a town in Liao Ning province, north east China. Condition: very good - there are no damages other than a minute chip to the cover (please view enlargement 7) . There has been no restoration. 16.5cm (6.5inches) long; 9cm (3.5inches) high. A rare, attractively enamelled, figure of the Bodhisattva and Japanese "Goddess of Mercy", Kannon.. Unusually, she is seated on a large boulder inhabited by a writhing white glazed dragon. This item was made in Japan in the Meiji period, during the 19th or early 20th Century Condition: two very minor losses - a chip to one of the dragon's horns and a small chip to the bottom of the dragon's tail. 24 cm / 9.5 inches high. A small thinly potted wine or tea cup delicately painted in shades of underglaze blue with traditional Chinese landscape scenes. The cup is bound with a metal (copper) rim, apparently made to cover a burst glaze bubble. On the base is a four character shop mark which reads "Shun Li Kun Ji". The makers mark was in use during the late Qing / early Republic period so we assume that this item was made during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 6.5cm (2.5inches) diameter.

一件清华庭院人物酒杯，胎体轻薄。口沿有一圈金属圈镶边，应是为遮掩口沿的一处爆釉。底有青花四字款“顺利坤记”，此款为清末民初的厂店款，所以我们认为此件应为19世纪末20世纪初所做。

A finely carved and moulded Zisha clay stoneware teapot with a Tang dynasty style marbed band and with applied leaf and Prunus blossom decoration. This item was made in the vicinity of the city of Yixing, Jiangsu province, in the Yangze River Delta region of eastern China. The base carries the impressed sealmark of its maker Kuai Xin Long born 25th May 1964. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 18cm (7 inches) long; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) high.

A small attractively patinated bronze (copper zinc alloy) koro or censer, possibly made in Japan during the 19th Century.. Condition: excellent - there is very minor surface ware consistant with careful old use as an incense burner; no damages losses or repairs.

A rare small wine cup painted with stylized lotus scrolls in underglaze blue. The base carries the six character mark of the Guangxu emperor and it was made during his reign (1875-1908). A rare finely painted pair of underglaze blue decorated dragon and phoenix 'wedding' dishes made in Jingdezhen, southern China, and exported to Europe in the late 19th or early 20th Century during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition: there are some production iron marks;there is a 1.5cm hairline visible on the back of the phoenix dish and there is a light 2.5cm hairline to the rim of the dragon dish. A bronze vase finely cast in archaic Chinese style with twin elephant head handles and very unusually decorated with 16th Century Turkish Iznik/ Kutahya style 'Saza' leaves in red, blue, green and black enamels. The Made in Japan mark to the base indicates that this item was made in Japan (for export) post 1890. A six-sided porcelain wine pot warmer painted in Qianjiang style with a scene on one side from a Chinese opera relating to stories from the Three Kingdoms period. On the other side is a poem which we have, as yet, been unable to read. It is signed and dated to 1903. A heavy 19th Century lotus shaped porcelain deep bowl decorated on the outside with famille rose enamels depicting a dignatory and boys in a garden landscape. The base bears the six character seal mark ( painted in iron red) of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). Condition: very good - there is wear to the turquoise glazed interior but no damages and no restoration. 14.5 cm diameter; 6 cm deep

A finely decorated late 19th Century Renaissance/Gothic styled copper/bronze twin-handled dish or plaque. This item was made in Germany circa 1875-1900 and is signed Gustav Grohe (1829-1906). Condition - excellent - no damages or repairs. 29cm (11.4inches) diameter.

An 18th Century sectional sweet meat dish, finely painted with two Chilong (Chi dragons) among stylized scrolling lotus and made in Canton (Guangzhou), southern China, during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795).

Condition: very good.

A ten sided double bodied Yixing stoneware teapot decorated in Scholar's Taste and bearing an inscription in white enamel which reads "Ba Dou Gao Cai" ( which can translate as "Full of Talent") and with "Tian Gong" ("Heavenly Palace" or "Paradise") under pink enamel.

This item was made from Zisha clay in Yixing, China, during the late 19th or early 20th Century.

Condition: the single cover has a piece missing and has been broken and glued; no further damages and no restoration.

A large, heavily potted, "Diving Dragon" dish depicting an angular stylized dragon amongst clouds in pursuit of a flaming pearl. The design originated in more conventional form in the early 18th Century during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735) but this item was made later during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor (1796 - 1820). Similar dishes were salvaged from the wreck of the Diana which sank in 1816. Condition - there are two hairlines - 3cm (1.2 inch) and 4cm (1.5inch)- running from the rim (please see enlargements 7 and 8). There is surface wear to the interior and what is probably an owner's mark - "Shi Yuen Shung" - engraved above the foot rim. 5cm (2 inches)deep; 17.8cm (11 inches) diameter.

19世纪早期青花潜龙纹盘-嘉庆（约1816）
大款青花潜龙盘，胎体厚重，饰潜龙云纹，龙首有角，火珠纹，此种风格在清早期的雍正（1723-1735）时期更常见，但此盘为后来嘉庆（1796-1820）时期所出。出事于1816年的戴安娜（Diana）沉船的打捞品中可见同款式的瓷盘。
品相：盘口有两条细裂纹，分别长约3cm、4cm（见放大图7、图8），盘面有些软道，足沿上方可见刻有三字“士云生”，可能为此盘所有者所留。盘深5cm，直径17.8cm。

A very finely painted Chinese blue and white vase painted in late 17th Century 'Transitional' style. The base carries the four character mark of the Kangxi emperor but this item was made later during the 19th Century. Condition - there is a small impact chip to the shoulder and associated old body cracks (please see pictures no.3 and no.9 ) and there is production glaze loss ('fritting') to the base rim (see enlargement no. 8). 26cm (10.3 inches) high.

A very rare Lalique glass "le Heure Bleue" Eau de Cologne bottle produced by Guerlain, Paris, circa 1914. Condition: excellent - no damages and with some of its original 'perfume'. 16.5cm (6.5 inches) high.

A Chinese porcelain snuff bottle, attractively painted in underglaze blue and red , with a Ming dynasty style scene depicting many boys at play.The green stone stopper has an ivory spatula. The cyclically dated iron red inscription can be translated as "Year of Ding Wei (1907 or possibly 1847), for my snuff taking 'elder brother's' appreciation; presented by your snuff taking 'younger brother' Ya Quan. Condition: there is a long, stable, light hairline crack running down one side; no further damages and no restoration.

A carved hardwood figure depicting the Daoist Immortal Liu Hai holding his three-legged toad. This item was made in China, possibly for export, during the 19th Century. Condition: there are aging cracks to the base and minor chips and old bumps. 33cm (13 inches) high. Weight: 1.35kg (3lb)

A porcelain figure of Guanyin (the Chinese "Goddess of Mercy") seated on a lotus 'throne' attractively painted with bright famille rose / fencai enamels. This item was made in south China during the reign of the Jiaqing Emperor (1796-1820). Condition: there has been much damage and old professional restoration. 23.5cm (9.25inches) high.

A porcelain jar atteractively decorated in mid 18th Century style with polychrome "Famille rose" enamels. A heavy six-sided porcelain deep bowl decorated on the outside with famille rose enamels depicting ladies and boys in a garden landscape. The base bears the six character seal mark ( painted in iron red) of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874). Condition: there are enamel losses to the turquoise glazed interior: no losses to the famille rose enamels: no chips or cracks to the porcelain body and no restoration. 21 cm (8.5 inches) across; 9 cm (3.6 inches) high.

An unusual Pith / 'Rice' paper picture, delicately painted with a scene from a dramatization of "The Death of Ma Su" who was a famous General under the command of Scholar, Inventor and Political and Military Strategist Zhu Ge Liang (181-234 AD). This story is to be found in the historical novel the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and also in the Peking opera "Loss of Jieting". This picture was painted in China during the 19th Century, probably as one of a series of pictures, and is now mounted in a later frame.

Condition: good - there are some splits and losses to the plain pith paper background but no damages to the painted area; there have been no repairs or restoration.

Frame: 31.5cm (12.3inches) wide; 20.3cm (8inches) high.

清末通草水彩画“诸葛亮挥泪斩马谡”

一幅通草水彩画，展现了三国故事中“诸葛亮挥泪斩马谡”的一幕。此画作于19世纪，可能是一个系列中的一幅，现装裱在后加的木框中。

A rare and very finely decorated Chinese porcelain vase depicting a flowering peony shrub painted with fencai/famille rose enamels.

On the base is the iron red four character mark "Shen de tang zhi" -the "Hall for the Cultivation of Virtue" which was located in the Old Summer Palace, the Yuanmingyuan, which was destroyed by European troops in 1860. The mark was used during the Kangxi and Daoguang reigns and also during the Republic period (1912-1948) when we believe this vase was made.

Condition - there is a faint star crack (please view enlargements 11 & 12) - no further damages and no restoration.

一件精美稀有的粉彩牡丹花卉灯笼樽。底有红色“慎德堂制”四字款。慎德堂，位于圆明园，1860年毁于八国联军之手。慎德堂的款识用于康熙和道光年间，但也用于民国时期。我们认为这件为民国时期作品。

品相：瓶身有一处几不可见的分叉裂痕（见图十一和图十二），无其他损伤，无修复。高18厘米，直径9.5厘米。

A rare small solid bronze figure of a lion, of asymmetric form and with with unusual chased and punched surface decoration. It is attached with a single rivet to a contemporary base and is movable by about 30 degrees. This item either made in China during the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) or possibly much earlier. A small lotus form moulded porcelain saucer dish painted centrally with a man on horseback bordered with eight radiating lotus leaves and flowers and above each is a stylized crane with opened wings.

A larger dish bordered with similar crane motifs on a diaper ground see item 2234 (page 1032) "Chinese Ceramics in the Topkapi Saray Museum" Istanbul VOL 3 by Regina Krahl with John Ayers (1986) This item was made in China, for export, in the Late 17th / early 18th Century.

Condition: excellent no chips, cracks and no restoration.

清康熙 外销青花人物菱口碟

模印莲花形瓷碟，中间绘有一人骑马，周边的莲瓣和荷叶内绘有莲花，每个莲花上有一只展翅的仙鹤。为17世纪末18世纪初的中国外销瓷器。类似纹饰的稍大一些的瓷盘，请参考康蕊君和John Ayers合著《伊斯坦布尔托普卡帕皇宫博物馆中国陶瓷完整目录》（1986年版）第三卷第1032页2234号藏品。

品相：完好，无冲，无磕碰，无修复。直径10.8厘米。

A framed Christian religious painting of Mary with a winged angel bearing the signature and seal mark of Li Tian Duo. This item was painted in China during the either the late Qing or early Republic period. The early 20th Century frame is age worn but the painting is in excellent condition with no stains or damages. Frame; 50 cm x 32cm

A moulded porcelain deep dish, with barbed rim, painted in shades of under glaze blue depicting two celestial ladies in a garden setting enclosed by a broad border of radiating floral panels.

This item was made in Jingdezhen, China, for export to Europe, early in the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1722-1735). Similar dishes were recovered from the "Ca Mau" ship wreck which sank off the coast of Vietnam, circa 1725.

Condition: there are two hairlines (3.5 cm and a 2.7 cm) running from the rim. There is also typical fritting (production glaze losses) to the rim plus minor chipping to the foot rim.

清雍正 青花人物外销葵口盘 约1725

模印，葵口，中间绘有两位仙女，周围绘有花卉纹路。为清雍正年间景德镇出口至欧洲的瓷器。类似的瓷盘，请参见约1725年沉于越南海域的“金瓯”沉船上的瓷盘。

品相：从边缘至中间有两处裂痕（分别长3.5和2.7厘米）。有毛边痕迹，足圈有细微的磕碰。直径21厘米，深3.5厘米。
