A very rare gilt bronze Buddha, Southern Thailand Sri Vijaya/Javanese inspired local style, ca. 11th.-13th. century AD.

The Buddha stands erect with his right hand raised in abhaya mudra and his left gracefully extended alongside his body

Wonderful archaic Southern SE Asian style of his face with the pronounced brows, a flat nose and thick lips. His eyes are thick and downcast and he wears a slight smile. He is standing on a square pedestal.

An large and exceptional bronze oil lamp with handle in shape of a leaf and pyramid-shaped, pierced lid. Byzantine, 5th - 6th century A.D.

The lamp is finely engraved and well built. A substantial and very elegant bronze lap with beautifully patinated surfaces. Interestingly, an openwork lid was chosen for it in antiquity, perhaps since it became to hot with a closed tight lid, due to the large size and construction.

A wonderfully preserved massive Iron hatch with lock for an oven or a chimney, European, Renaissance, ca. 1480-1520.

The hatch is finely decorated with large attached rosettes and rivets and the still functioning lock ends in a twisted grib in the gothic form. Possibly Danish or Northern German and comes from an esteemed Danish private collection.

Horisontically ribbed body and carinated vertically ribbed shoulder with funnel mouth.

The hammer head in the shape of a deers head and the horn and shaft finely twisted, the nails for inserting it into a thick wooden door are still finely preserved as well.

Interesting large amuletic seal in marble, probably crusader period, 11th.-13th. cent.

The seal was found in Eastern Anatolia / Western Mesopotamia - old crusader land. It was described in the large collection as a 'mystery seal', due to it's strange form and depiction on the seals base.
