Two modernist brooches by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta of Finland are available. You may purchase them individually or as a pair.

The first one is a three dimensional sterling silver brooch in what looks like a pair of smiling lips. This brooch measures 2 3/8" across and 1/2" high. Fine condition, has minor tarnish.

The second brooch is round and three dimensional with a cut out center and an etched detail. Measures 1 1/2" in diameter. Has some minor surface scratches and tarnish...

A vintage sterling silver geometric pendant with an inlay of exotic wood and a carnelian colored cabochon. Hand wrought intricate chain marked sterling on the hook clasp. Pendant measures 1 5/8" long and 7/8" across. Chain measures 19" long. Chain is original to the pendant, it can't be removed. Fine condition. Interesting contrast between wood and sterling surfaces. Well crafted studio piece.

A silver necklace with six small and one large fused glass on clay jewels by noted modernist jeweler, Elsa Freund, (1912-2001).

Measures about 15" around. Central drop measures 1 3/4" long and 1 1/4" across. This drop is signed Elsa on the back.

Classic Elsaramics sparkling amber colored jewels. Hook closure on the back fastens securely. A necklace extender could be added to the clasp if needed. Has a little tarnish. Lays wonderfully on the collar.

A finely crafted hammered sterling silver bracelet with six green, oval cabochons in an Arts and Crafts design.

Measures 6 3/4" long and 1 1/4"high. Hook closure holds securely. Fine condition with minor tarnish.

Delicate organic design.

An unusual mixed metals bolo with an industrial nude torso design in silver and patinated brass on a leather thong by noted jeweler, Thomas Mann. He is known for his mini sculptures made from found materials in whimsical designs. Hallmarked with the impressed stylized TM with sun, Handwrought and etched with the Mann signature and '91.

Central pendant measures 1 3/8" across and 2 1/2" high. Three dimensional. The leather cord measures about 38" long. The ends of the cord look like stylize...

A geometric silver bracelet from Mexico with seven bezel set dome shaped stones. The stones range in color from tan to pale green, not sure what they are.

Marked Silver Mexico. Measures 7 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide. Hook clasp holds securely. Has some minor surfaces scratches and a little tarnish.

Striking design. Great hand wrought feel. Early piece.

A vintage hand wrought sterling silver brooch with an Arts and Crafts feel by the well known Boston silversmith, Ella Cone, comprised of overlapping leaves and scrolls attached to a thick sterling wire.

Measures 3" long and 2 1/2" high. Roll over clasp holds securely. Marked Sterling, Hand ELC Made on the back. Has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches.

Well made, fine quality.

A modernist brooch by noted mid century silversmith, Frances Holmes Boothby.

This swirled brooch measures 1 1/2" tall and 1 7/8" across. Has a partial fhb mark on the back. Also marked Sterling.

Has a safety rollover clasp that holds securely. Nice condition, just a few minor scratches.

A vintage modernist sterling silver ring with orbs of various sizes designed by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta Oy, Turku Finland. A sleek Mid Century Modern design.

The top design measures 3/4" across, 3/4" wide and about 1/2" high. Measures about a size 7 but is adjustable due to the open shank design.

In very nice condition with minor tarnish and some minor surface scratches. Thick sterling.

Marked with the Anvil for the maker, Finland and 925S.

This is a spectacular vintage hand wrought sterling silver brooch by the well known Boston silversmith, Ella L. Cone. Looks like a surreal silhouette.

Measures 4 3/8" high and 1 5/8" at the widest. Roll over clasp holds securely. Marked Sterling, Hand ELC Made on the back. Has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches.

Reminds us of the surreal pieces by Paul Lobel and Ed Wiener.

Well made, fine quality. The best piece of jewelry by this artist that we have ever encountered.

A stand out modernist sterling silver Neck Ring from Finland designed by Pekka Piekainen for Auran Kultaseppa, Oy. He was the head jewelry designer for the company from 1971-89 and had won many prestigious awards.

Marked on the back for Kultaseppa, Finland silver standard, 925H, Town mark for Turku, and T7 for the date code 1972.

Measures 12" around with an opening of 2 3/4". Meant to sit on the collar bone. Measures 1 1/4" wide at the ends.

A very well constructed pair of sterling silver and pearl cufflinks by Jean Lasnier. He was a member of the Metal Arts Guild between 1951-64 with many of the well known studio artisans of the Mid Century Modern jewelry movement. Cufflinks are made from two layers of curved sterling connected at the corners. They have an offset pearl attached to the under layer for a 3D effect. Measure 3/4" square. Toggles swivel. A modernist cast sterling silver pendant in a 'pitchfork' design by noted Mid Century silversmith Christian Schmidt, (1926-1974). Signed with his stylized 'S' hallmark and Sterling. Measures 2 3/8" long and 7/8" across. Three dimensional curved design. Interesting contrast of dark textured patina on the sides and polished surfaces on the top. Would look great on either an neck ring or chain.

An Arts and Crafts period acid etched silver metal brooch by Carence Crafters with an intertwined vine design.

Measures 3 1/2" long and 2 3/8" high. Marked with the conjoined CC mark inside a diamond. Has a 'C' clasp which holds securely.

Nice contrast of dark and light. Bold and impressive.

A vintage modernist heavy ring, #163 designed by Henning Koppel for Georg Jensen. Marked on the back Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S, Denmark, and style number 163.

Measures about a size 7. Could probably be adjusted slightly due to the open nature of the design. Curls around the finger and slightly flares out. Can be worn with the larger end facing up or down. Weighs 23 gr.

Thick sterling, substantial feel. Has minor surface scratches.

A Bronze Plaque from Boris Schatz (1866-1932). This plaque is of Joseph Schonthal a prominent Columbus, Ohio Philanthropist. Measures about 3 5/8" by 5 1/2". Fine and rare.

Virginia City Nevada Cave In by Robert Lee Eskridge. A Fine Watercolor by the Well Regarded California, Hawaii (& WPA) Artist, Robert Lee Eskridge (1891-1975). Measures 22 1/2" by 15". Painted on thick Arches paper. This watercolor is signed and titled on front as shown and on the back is written 'Cave-in near Virginia City'.

An Arts and Crafts sterling silver pendant necklace in the style of the Chicago school. Pendant has a large carnelian cabochon and four dangles.

The pendant measures 1 1/4" long including the dangles and 1" at the widest. Unsigned. Each side of the chain is 9" long for a total of 19" with the toggle clasp and looks to be original to the pendant.

Fine condition, has some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. Great example.
