DESCRIPTION: A handsome Victorian era (c. 1890) copper coal scuttle with brass handle and hinges, having a built-in copper “pocket” on the top to hold a shovel scoop. These coal scuttles are practical today for removing ashes from your fireplace, and making a warm “hearth and home” statement. This one shows use with scattered small dents and a base repair. I am offering this pretty much as an antique collectable frame (rabbet 15" by 11 1/2", about 17" by 13 1/2" if you were inclined to try to remove what looks like an inner frame). It probably dates to about 1880. For many years it has housed a chromolithograph of sailing craft, "Coming Into Port", by the American luminist marine artist George Curtis (1826-1881). The chromo is on canvas, bearing the stamp of publishers Colton, Zahm & Roberts of New York...

A truly marvelous silver plate round box on enameled stand, in the form of a nesting dove, France hallmark, classic Art Deco form with the often depicted dove. Measures 8" wide, 6 1/4" high, and 6" deep. No marks other than the stamped France mark, artist unknown, but is certainly designed with a fine artistic eye. The bird has ruffled feathers around the neck, its feet grasping onto the base, with a short tail feather with step design...

An unusual and attractive pair of tall mirrors, each reverse painted with a basket of flowers suspended from a green and gold tassel, further decorated with swags of bellflowers suspended from green and gold ribbons. Encased in original carved mahogany frames with original wood backboards .

Excellent condition with no issues. The sight size of each is 23 1/2" by 11 3/8" and the overall size of each is 34" by 22".

American Gold Frame Mirror, carved on wood deep and wide Framed step Mirror, Ca. 1920, 21" x 19" wide, 3" deep, 6" wide. Old original condition, no restoration was done on this framed mirror.

Pair of Alhambra bronze mirrors by Tiffany Co., with incised middle eastern designs over surface, with scrolling elements around mirror, and cross hatching and geometric motifs on handle, round hook at top of both for hanging. Measure 14" high, 7 3/8" in diameter, and roughly 1/2" deep. The backs are different, one is just flat, the other with step design, both types found in these mirrors...

An olive wood box, the lid decorated with an oval panel depicting an Italian couple, in the marquetry work typical of Sorrento. Late 19th c or around 1900. On the front is written Bellagio, meaning that the box was sold in this lovely resort by Lake Como as a souvenir. Width "8½/ 22 cm, height "2¾/ 7 cm and depth "6/15,5 cm. Condition: fine, except for the small key which is best left unturned, since it is difficult to maneuvre.

Antique triple frame that measures 13.25" x 14.5". Inner gold frame is 8"x10". Light wear and slight chipping. Glass insert.Please disregard what appears to be a crack in the glass and glare.

Korean chest with beautiful burl wood front panels, with handmade brass hardware, with etched floral patterns and designs. Three rectangular drawers line the top, and below are two large rectangular doors with a large brass backplate resembling a flower or sun. A beautiful mahogany shaped knife box made of solid sides and fitted with slotted board to hold knives. The cyma and creased shaped front supports a non-working brass lock escutcheon and opening handle. The corners are molded. The cover is decorated with a star inside, and attached with brass hinges. The base of the box is also molded. Over all, the design and construction are sumptuous.

The elk horn on the top of the stepped, sloping lid arranged in a starburst pattern. The fitted interior is decorated with incised ivory panels, highlighted with lac, a similarly decorated pair of removable caddies and a circular cut crystal sugar bowl and a horn caddy spoon.
