This is a very nice Shaker wheel walker with nice surface wear on the working end. 7 1/2" and is circa 1840 (. The finger is used to begin or lengthen the turn of the spinning wheel. A person holds the rounded end, and the lip on the other end rests on a spoke in the great wheel. This early Shaker sieve has a design in the horsehair woven mesh. The sieve has wooden pegs all around the edge and the lap is nailed. The rims on top and bottom are a little rough from use and the strainer has two areas at the edges that have weakened, see pictures. This is early and very nice and displays easily hanging on a peg or nail. It is 13 1/2" 4" high. C. 1830

Small table snuff box made of lacquered papier-maché, the glass lid with reverse engraved and painted decoration. Inside is a shell and two strands of hair. There is no lock; the snuff box was intended not to be carried around in a pocket, but to be placed on a shelf or a table where it displayed well. Probably Scandinavian, made around 1800 or earlier, unusual. Diameter 2" / 5 cm, height ¾ "/ 2 cm. Condition: the mirror glass cracked, wear consistent with age (cf pics).

This fire screen is mounted on a mahogany tri foot pole. The needlepoint is made of wool and silk. The entire piece measures 54 inches high. The screen is 19 1/2 inches by 26 inches. This dates late 19th century. This item is available for local pickup, only.

A fine old antique gold frame of the 19th century, measuring 27" by 34" by 3" depth, the inner rabbet 18 1/2" by 25 1/2". This frame certainly at one time held a fine painting; there is some hint of there having been a placard. Weight is an impressive 20 pounds; the wood used I believe is heavy oak. There is much evidence of age, moderate wear; but it is in keeping with the age and antiquity of the frame. Currently there is a modern print of a Picasso work inserted into the opening.

Fine old, circa early 19th century hand painted ladies' fan, (just the painted paper portion, no hardware), nicely framed in a fan-shaped late twentieth century shadow-box of Italian manufacture. The gouache painting when viewed up close reveals fascinating details, such as the figure in the prow of the small boat at left looking through a telescope, the figure in the stern wearing a Napoleon-style hat. A Scottish wood travelling tobacco or pipe box, wonderfully and fulsomely decorated with penwork. The scene on the top shows two older men arguing or bargaining, in front of what appear to be farm buildings. Under this is "And test Me nhow auld boy" followed by the initials HC. The sides and bottom of the box are decorated with finely drawn rows of leaves. The interior of the box is a gray sandpaper like material, with a stump in the center to tap out the dottle after a pipe has been smoked.
