An attractive Chinese soapstone carving of the Daoist Immortal Zhong Hanli. This item was made circa 1790-1820 either late in the Qianlong reign or during the reign of the Jaiqing Emperor. Condition very good. There are natural flaws in the stone and much of the original paint can still be seen.

This fine silver wired 3" x 2.5" box is from one of the better studios. A single bird descends from a blooming prunus tree, the trunk of which extends down the front side of the box against a ground of blue so dark it appears black. The mounts are of silvered brass.

An exceptionally well decorated and finely potted bowl made to the best Imperial standards. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Chenghua Emperor enclosed within a double circle. The body is formed by a fairly thinly turned jade tube that is fitted with a turned hardwood plug for the base. The wooden bottom is visible on the interior base of the jade tube and it is turned to form a stand that compliments the simplicity of the jade form. At 24.5", this a most impressive piece of ginbari cloisonne. Over a ground of graduated blue, a flock of white doves flutters through masses of lilies.

A very finely decorated Imperial wine cup depicting two iron-red five-clawed dragons, over breaking waves, in pursuit of flaming pearls.
The base carries the underglaze blue seal mark of the Daoguang Emperor and was made during his reign (1821-1850).
There is a 4cm hairline running from the rim . There is also a small rim chip above the tail of one of the dragons and there are two tiny rim nibbles (Please see pictures).
