A very rare extremely large storage jar from the Chinese Song period, 960 -1126 AD.These jars were used for storage for Chinese trading vessels. A very large museum quality blue cobalt Jar. It is very, very rare to find this type of vase in cobalt blue, especially in this size and condition. An extremely rare perfectly potted Zheghu Ban Partridge Breast mottled Tenmoku tea bowl. Looking inside this Tenmoku chawan is like glazing deep into the cosmos. There one can understand the meaning of microcosm and ask whether one is looking inward or outward; probably both.

The bowl gets its uniqueness from the fact that the glaze looks like a highly rare mixture of partridge-breast mottles that nearly look like oil-spots.

A very rare figure of a Tang lady seated on a barrel stool in a long robe and large hairdo gently holding a dog. Original Tang figures look beautiful at all angles. Made of a fine red colored clay, it was originally painted but the slip and color have worn away revealing only the clay underneath.

Beautiful Chinese antique celadon glazed bowl. The body of the bowl is shaped into six wide lobes and glazed an olive-green with a very fine crackle. The interior is decorated with a delicate raised scrolling lotus stem. A lotus blossom or leaf adorns each interior lobe of the bowl. An incised line circles the outside rim. Song Dynasty. A very rare and characteristically glazed foo lioness with her left paw on the head of her baby. These usually come in pairs. One with the baby foo lion under the paw and one with a ball under the paw. This one has a lot of feeling with the baby foo lion looking annoyed with the paw pushing down on its head.
