Statue of Buddha Amithaba or Amitayus, wearing an unusual diadem, jewelry and dhoti, sitting cross-legged on an elevated throne backed by a flaming mandorla, holding the elixir of immortality in his hands. Bronze, with a fine reddish-green patina. This statue is a Sino-Tibetan work, dating late 18th century/early 19th century. Height: 18.5 cm. Very good condition. Provenance: acquired from a Hong Kong antique dealer in 1978.
17C/18C Chinese Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Charger w Silver Handle
The charger is depicted in under-glazed blue with a scene from traditional Chinese opera “Romance of the Western Chamber” which is one of the most famous Chinese dramatic works; the rim with a series of lozenge patterns, mounted with a later-added silver handle; the reverse is decorated with two scrolls of flowers.
Size: 24.5 cm diam. 3 cm deep.
Condition: Good.
Little distorted half cylinder shaped tea bowl made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical shino glaze inside and outside with a fine dark greyish triangle design. This is a typical late Momoyama design. The somewhat irregular foot is typical for the late production of the 1620-ies at the Motoyashiki and Kamagane kilns.

It is 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) tall by 4.3 inches (11 cm) wide.
It is in good condition with no chips, except small crack, re-lacquered at the inside and bottom, repaired at the inner rim and a small spot of melting at the back side of the lid (as seen in the photos).

A superb early Qing Shunzhi - Kangxi wucai baluster jar, this large jar has straight neck, broad shoulders with sides tapering towards and flat unglazed base. This jar is painted in under glaze blue and over glaze red, green, and yellow over glaze enamel, there is scenery of human motif in four panel radiating on each side, neck with flower motif.
Jar is in good condition with faint hairline at the rim, no chip, no restoration.

A decorative Temmoku glazed bowl with a raised decoration of a Dragon and Lingzhi.
Most probably Japanese and probably from the seventeenth or eighteenth century. There is an incised signature to the piece which could give final clarity to the educated among us.
