An antique Chinese dehua (also known as blanc de chine) of a man riding a donkey-like animal. Unlike the normal subject matter often produced in dehua porcelain, the figure is not dressed in a Chinese manner, but in a European style. The back contains two seals: the gourd shaped seal reads: dehua and the square seal is possibly the artist name, which translates as: seal of Ke Qianzhong. Age: Late 19th -20th century. Chogappo made of fragments of ramie which is recycled from old textiles. Pojagi is the general name for the wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is patchworked with asa (choma or hemp) fragments. A small porcelain iron red overglaze water coup decorated with dragons set among scrolling clouds. The iron red style was developed in the Ming dynasty and in the Qing various styles were expanded. Additionally, with the continuity of the literati tradition, various objects were being produced and one was the water coup which is essential in producing ink for calligraphy. The water coup contains an inscription reading Da qing xiangfeng nian xin. (1851-1861). Size: height 2.25" diameter 2.8"

This is a Victorian Staffordshire-style spill vase, of biscuit porcelain shaded to pale green, spill vases were placed on a fireplace mantle to hold spills---the small wood or paper splinters used to obtain light from a fire; modeled as 3 knarled trees joined by leafy branches; surface cracks; 6" high.

19th century nephrite carving. A reclined sheep holds a peach in her mouth. Her head is turned back to watch her baby. The lamb is leaning on his mother, in his mouth there is a string of Ling-Zhi. Very nice carving in good condition. H: 2 inches, W: 3 ¾ inches, D: 1 ½ inches

Offered is this beautiful cameo glass covered jar, made by Val St Lambert. The jar is 4 1/4 inches (10,5 cm) tall and 2 1/2 inches (6,5 cm) wide. It is in excellent condition (there are a couple of fabrication flaws: smooth, tiny dimples on the rim of the jar - see last picture). Properly signed (see picture).

This is a perfect Sung Yuan lotus bowl with the incised flora pattern lotus petal bowl, good color and glaze shine, with the natural crazing, without any crack or repair except small chip on the foot rim

A deep cobalt blue salt or sweetmeat, probably of German origin. The bowl has a silvered everted rim with silver leaf decoration and is above an inverted baluster stem. Rough pontil. No condition problems, and with a maximum diameter of 4" and a height of 3 1/2".

This is a stoneware crock, 11 1/2" high and approximately 10 1/2" diameter, natural non-gray color, the "2" cut into the wet clay before it was fired.
