Measuring 19" by 20" inside the mat (28" by 28 1/2" as framed), the work is signed in pencil in margin at lower left with the distinctive signature of the noted English modern art figure FRANK BRANGWYN (1867-1956)...

Irving Amen's works are most commonly prints, as he is considered a master print maker in woodblock, etching, lithography and silk screen; this example appears to be etching or etching with aquatint. He also executed oils and acrylics in the course of a long career. This work, titled at lower left in pencil "Tenderness" and numbered there 89/200 examples, is signed in pencil at lower right. The plate measures 17 1/4" by 7 1/2 " (44cm by 19cm). The framed dimensions are 26" by 15". Appears to be in excellent condition. Pierre Courtin in one of the most important master engravers of the 20th century.

An antique original etching of a standing cow in profile, a village seen at left distance, by Dutch Old Master artist MARCUS DE BIE (sometimes DE BYE), with birth death dates of approximately 1639-1688. The print is heavily trimmed, apparently (3 3/4" by 5 1/4", unframed).
